What to expect
Mindset Matters is Goodchild's signature presentation where he takes you on a journey of what it was like growing up in an abusive home, and suffering from a tragic car accident that sentenced him to living the rest of his life in a wheelchair. Despite the odds being stacked against him, Goodchild made an incredible recovery and began walking again, defying every doctor's diagnosis of being a paraplegic for life.
In this speech, he details what it was like recovering, living with a father who uses his fists instead of his words to express his feelings. Culminating in an attempt on Trevor's life, that pushed him to run away and survive for years on the streets. Yes, defying the odds again, Goodchild went from living in an alleyway to graduating from the University of Texas with two degrees, becoming a published author, public speaker and entrepreneur.
Your audience will learn how vital mindset is in shaping the inner image that determines our ability to overcome obstacles, become successful, and emotionally healthy. And they will learn the secret to how inner narratives shape our experiences in life, and how to regain control of our destiny, aiming it towards achieving our dreams.
Mindset of Excellence
Your audience will learn the power of resiliency and how to develop a Mindset of Excellence. Much of what we experience is felt through the lens we filter life through. However, most are unaware of how much our own filters limit our perspective and ability to achieve emotional freedom.
Goodchild delivers a transformation to your audience on how to use inner strength to create success, and what success really means by who we become in the process. How to develop specific daily habits that empower you to recognize what influenced you to hold limiting beliefs and what to do to change these into empowering beliefs. Discover how the past doesn't have to predict the future and what to do in order to create the future you've always wanted.
Intro to Introspection
In this presentation, Goodchild teaches how to build daily introspection into your normal routine and uncover inner momentum by reflecting on our strengths and weaknesses. Learn how breaking up self-destructive behavior into manageable smaller pieces makes achieving positive mental health easier. Discover what your self improvement goals are and reduce the overwhelm through smaller mindset milestones. In this presentation, Goodchild demonstrates how it's easier to improve an existing skill then try to learn a new one, and the power of micro nudges to influence pro-social behavior.
Reciprocity Remapping & Relationship Management
Relationships are at the heart of every interaction we have with others - but how do we build successful interpersonal skills? Find out how mutual feedback from the coworkers, management, friends and family on a regular basis helps the you grow as a whole and establish a supportive community geared towards enhanced social-emotional growth.
In this presentation Goodchild delivers a closer look at what a successful relationship means. The strength of honesty to allow us to partner with others, talk in terms of their interests, and be a giver, not a taker. Explore how important healthy boundaries are, the power saying of no, and how to negotiate a balanced relationship in all parts of your life.
Youth Speaking
Goodchild is also available to speak on the incredible ability of education to shape mindsets of the youth and what life is like when you feel like no one understands you. From going to high school while living on the streets, to being in labor camps at Foster Homes, Goodchild shows kids how they are not alone feeling like no one understands what they are going through. Whether that's abusive home lives, foster care, poverty and food scarcity - you are not alone. In this presentation, Goodchild teaches:
• Self efficacy skills not taught in textbooks but from a survivor of trauma
• The power of self talk for better mental health
• How to cultivate grit for lifelong success
