Stephen Michael James is a Northern California native who made the leap from the rock/metal scene to stand-up comedy. After relocating to the Pacific Northwest just before the pandemic, he discovered comedy as a powerful outlet and embraced it fully. Since his first performance in 12/2022 at Tony V’s Garage, Stephen has become a rising name in the Seattle and Tacoma comedy scenes, performing at venues like Wiseguys, Tacoma Comedy Club, and Club Comedy. Known for his short, punchy jokes and dark humor with a laid-back “California Dude” vibe, he’s also a devoted husband and father to a daughter with ADHD.
