Eastside Improv

Our Toastmasters club recently hosted an improv workshop with Olivier and Jenny from Eastside Improv, and it was fantastic! The session was engaging, well-organized, and full of energy from start to finish.

They introduced the concept of "Shared Reality" and the CROW framework (Characters, Relationships, Objectives, and Where), which provided valuable insights not only for improv but also for public speaking and impromptu communication. The exercises were fun, interactive, and accessible for everyone, regardless of prior improv experience.

What stood out most was how quickly they created a supportive environment where participants felt comfortable stepping out of their comfort zones, collaborating, and having fun. The workshop was an excellent team-building activity and helped our members strengthen their listening, creativity, and communication skills.

Highly recommend Eastside Improv for any team, club, or organization looking for a unique and impactful learning experience!

We went to see two back to back shows. A student show that was pay what you want, then a show with their regular performers. Both shows were fun and had plenty of interaction. It's a small, intimate theater but these still serve drinks which is nice. The regular performers were really good and I especially liked the host who had a nice French accent. They did a good job of calling back and referencing previous sketches. The ticket price was fair and much lower than prices for other events. Parking was easy to find at the location. A great night out if you want something to do for a few hours.
