October 15, 2016I'm the worship pastor of a Baptist church in Colonial Heights VA, that hosted Ed Pettersen for an evening concert of Christian music. Ed was professional from beginning to end, checking out the venue, communicating well and his set up was very condensed. Ed was extremely easy to work with, and had a great and wide selection of his original songs, with video accompaniment. The audience and I enjoyed every minute. I look forward to hosting him again!

May 28, 2014I have seen Ed Pettersen perform in various venues - special music for church services, concerts in various churches, personal events at private parties, and various public forums. He has always blessed me, and those that I have brought with me, at each venue. Be it his own, written and composed music, or his renditions of classic and popular rock-n-roll, Ed always infuses his performances with style, humor, and personal stories that enhance each and every song. Seeing Ed behind the piano is such a blessing, as I marvel at his talent for playing the piano, by ear. Ed is truly someone to see perform and someone to get to know!

Concerts consist of several songs performed with fully orchestrated background tracks, many of which are Ed's original compositions along with several current Christian songs. In the middle of the program, Ed typically performs three or four numbers at the piano which allows for a much more intimate setting...just the piano and his vocal.
In churches with video projection capability, the program will include some moving powerpoint and video presentations along with stage lighting.
From the inspirational "Ground Zero," which was written right after 9/11 and received national exposure on the Don Imus show, to the moving and often convicting "Where's The Change?" which will have fellow Christians searching their pockets and their hearts, Pettersen will both entertain and intrigue the listener with his infectious hooks.
Involved in Christian music since the age of seventeen, Pettersen has always wanted to write and produce a solo project. The Mission isn't only the title of the album, it's the embodiment of what this effort has meant to him as it has come together.
"I really wanted to inspire the listener to look at themselves and the world around them in a whole new way with this album" says Ed, "I pray that there's something in this collection to inspire everyone who listens."
The goal is now to expand his music ministry by performing in churches in Virginia and throughout the surrounding states.
