Dwight Leon and the Georgia Groove

Dwight Leon currently works as a professional musician full-time. He helps manage a music store, has taught private music lessons for over 8 years, and performs in several musical ensembles, as well as solo/acoustic. Dwight Leon has played acoustic/classical and electric guitar for over 20 years, as well as brass-wind and woodwind instruments. He is a multi-instrumentalist/vocalist and plays a wide variety of genres including blues, funk, metal, country, rock, and jazz that spans multiple decades.

His band, “Dwight Leon and the Georgia Groove”, has a horn section that is a crowd favorite wherever they perform. He has many years playing professionally, ranging from performing solo in intimate atmospheres at local restaurants to playing at sold out events with more than 35,000 attendees.

Dwight Leon also currently plays guitar with 2X "Georgia Country Music Artist of the Year" - Mary Kate Farmer, with whom he has performed around the southeast, performing on the same bill as Keith Urban, The Marshall Tucker Band and opening for acts like Easton Corbin and multi-Platinum award winning artist Deana Carter.

Dwight Leon stays active in the local music community having hosted Open Mic Nights, providing musicians of all ages and skill level a chance to perform in public and also has experience in running "live sound" for events and music production taking on recording projects of many styles.
