Guest Piper for the 2017, 2018, 2023 and 2025 Pirates Festival week in the Grand Cayman Islands. In 30 years, many events. I am at your service.

Durant was the perfect fit for our end-of-program ceremony. We wanted to do something special for our students, so we surprised them with Durant bagpiping in the middle of the courtyard and then leading the procession to their ceremony. The look of wonder on their faces when they went outside was soon replaced by a look of pride as they marched behind him. Durant understood exactly what we wanted to do and played the part perfectly. He made sure to stop at certain places so the students could get pictures of him. He wasn't phased at all by the prospect of rain and helped me think of alternative solutions if needed. We hope to work with him in the future!

Durant is an excellent musician and we consider ourselves extremely fortunate to have come in contact with him here on Gigsalad. Our mother had a specific musical request for her funeral and we contacted Durant and explained what she wanted. He was a true professional, in every sense of the word, and understood our/her wishes perfectly. It was a great comfort to us knowing that her request was in such capable and sensitve hands. Bizarrely, on the day of the funeral, there was a second bagpipe player who, for reasons we still cannot begin to fathom, mistook a basic inquiry to mean that he was hired for the gig, when no such agreement was ever discussed or even offered. And so, on the day of our mother´s funeral, there were 2 bagpipe players who showed up: one was hired, paid for and supposed to be there (Durant), and the other was never hired, nor ever offered the job and should not have been there. Durant handled this highly unusual and awkward siutation and resolved it efficiently and with professionalism, thus preventing the situation from escalating into greater levels of awkwardness and confusion. A true professional! Many humble thanks to you, Durant. Your musical contribution and sensitivity matched the occasion and our mother´s final wishes.

My first teacher told me the sound of the pipes are primordial. It touches the soul.I have performed in many weddings, funerals, parades,parties,
was involved in a movie with Russel Crowe,played at a memoral service of a victim of 9/11,my group opened for Rod stewart,I am "The Lone Piper" for the New Haven St. Patrick's Day parade,and lots (link hidden) greatest influence is the ability to share my love for the bagpipes with others.
