The pair competed in The Aerial Acrobatic Arts Festival and won the Best Artistic Award for their duo trapeze act in 2014. What to Expect
Event planners can expect reliable and prompt communication, clear budget proposals and agreements, a signed contract, and performances that align exactly with agreements. Daniel and Ashley started working together three years ago with Iluminar Aerial in Broomfield, Colorado. Instantly making a connection, the pair went on to compete in The Aerial Acrobatic Art's Festival in Denver, Colorado and won the Best Artistic Award for their duo trapeze act. On a regular basis the pair travels to Montreal to train with head duo coach Itzel Viruega of the École Nationale de Cirque. They perform weekly with Aerial Dreamworks and have performed in the past with TUI Cruises, Frequent Flyers and MOTH Poetic Circus.
Daniel began training with Frequent Flyers in Boulder, CO and went on to train at the New England Center for Circus Arts (NECCA) in Vermont. Daniel specializes in all things trapeze, lyra (hoop), straps, and sling. However, he is well versed in a variety of other aerial apparatus.
Ashley also began training with Frequent Flyers and completed their Professional Training Track. Ashley's love is for all things vertical; duo, silks, rope, etc. However, along with Daniel she is well versed in a number of aerial apparatus.
Additional Booking Notes
Duo D&A carries liability insurance and adheres to industry standard safety procedures. The safety of everyone is of the highest priority.
Once booked, Duo D&A can complete a free site assessment to help you decide how an aerial performance can be safely incorporated into your event. Aerial rigging is pre-set before events and un-rigged at your convenience. Rigging before and un-rigging after shows will be scheduled before any event.
For Duo Trapeze and Silks/Fabric or Rope/Corde Lisse acts a minimum ceiling height of 25ft
For Sling, Dance Trapeze, Lyra/Hoop, Straps acts a minimum ceiling height of 12ft
For Stilt Walking ambiance work a minimum ceiling height of 9ft
Stilt walking events require entry for a stilt safety spotter to maintain safe interaction between the audience and performer. Green room space for stilt walking events requires a tall table, bar stool, or ladder for performer to get onto stilts before performance.
Green rooms or changing areas are required for events longer than 15 minutes in duration. Any small staging area will do just fine :)
