New Jersey born and Central Florida raised, Dstar moved to Kissimmee FL, and fell in love with Hip Hop music when close friend and fellow artist P-Villain introduced him to lyrical hardcore rap. Dstar first was given the name DisastaR a combination of a disaster for destroying beats but star for having that superstar quality, Dstar found trouble with the name when doing shows and networking his name was often misspelled and confused for disaster. Soon after he shortened his name to Dstar and re defined his his approach on his music, after a few years living in Kissimmee, Dstar moved to Orlando FL and fell into selling drugs. This action also re defined his character as he now got a first hand taste of the underworld that is covered up by the sunshine and tourist that often get labeled in the city that he lives in. Influenced by the street Dstar added the element of trap rap to his lyrical style of music and released his first project" Drug Talk 101." Currently Dstar is focusing on furthering his musical plateaus by writing and recording Spanish English mixed songs showcasing his versatility and expanding his horizons. "I'm Dominican so it's only right I tap into my Hispanic side and share that with the world, be on the lookout for that" says Dstar.
