Drew Project band is known for their unique ability of making their audience feel a part of the concert. They will put you in the mood to sing, tap your feet, smile and laugh. Playing a good mix of smooth jazz, top 40 songs, bebop, soul, jazz standards, and Tv show jingles that will put you in a feeling of nostalgia.
Drew Project founded by Andrew Bethany of St Louis Missouri, started back in 2016 as a Jazz trio, led by Andrew Bethany on drums and vocals, Phil Graves on keys, and Teddy Brookins on bass. Their first gig was at Troy’s Gallery in St Louis. Some years later, the Drew Project revamped the band in 2018 with Keith Fowler on keys, and Jordan Brewer on bass and began to expand and explore the different genres of music and would pack out Events in St Louis from time to time performing honorable musicals and tributes to the music Giants of old and new school. As they grew in notoriety with their Entertainment Manager, Darren Wilson of Allusion Entertainment, they began to travel across the country for spot dates paying tribute to Michael Jackson with Santana Jackson and Performing musical tributes to the Dream girls, and to the Five heartbeats with thee Michael Wright.
After the pandemic, the Drew Project had to revamp again, with the current members, Metrii Payton, Otis “Protigy” Reddit, and Jason “Jupiter Jones and with their sound. Some of the members of this band have shared the stage and opened up for artists such as MusiQ Soulchild, Mint condition, George Clinton, Jon B, El Debarge, Tony! Toni! Toné! Band, Dru Hill, Boyz ll men, Vince Gill and other notable music Giants.
After becoming restless with just doing cover Tune gigs, they began to start working on their first tune in January of 2023 which turned into 10 tunes a year later! Their first Album, “Drew Project” came out July 13th, of 2024. This Album has a wide Range of music styles for every walk of Life, from Country Blues, to hip hop, Rnb, Pop Rock, and Inspirational. They are currently gigging, running their music school, MusiQ House in St Louis, Playing at Church, and Traveling for spot dates.
