Draw the Crowd

We have a 2 hour minimum for all creative services. We average about one drawing every 5 minutes for Classic Black & White, which is the most popular option at events to get the most people drawn. For larger events with over 50 guests, we recommend having additional artists to keep the line moving and get more people drawn. I can give you a consultation on the best options for your particular event. Digital Drawings are best indoors for the electronic equipment. Parking fees need to be reimbursed. Additional mileage for events outside of San Diego County.

Andrea first started drawing when she was 4 years old and
hasn't stopped. In 1994, she received a Bachelor's Degree in Studio
Art at UC San Diego. She started drawing professionally while in
college, getting discovered by a friend in animation class, who
arranged for her first paying gig. She drew at Nordstrom, drawing
glamorous women after beauty makeovers, and was hooked. Andrea
started out in portraiture before venturing into caricature. Her style
is a blend of portraiture and cartoon with a strong likeness as the
foundation for a cartoon portrait. Each face is unique and presents
different challenges to draw, where the possibilities to caricature
are endless. As an artist/entertainer, Andrea creates a memorable
experience where she strives to bring out the best in each person
she draws with drawings that delight and entertain.
Andrea draws caricatures for special events and provides unique
entertainment throughout San Diego and Southern California with
her team of artists, “Draw the Crowd.” Each artist she represents
has been screened for professionalism and artistic excellence.
Andrea has been drawing professionally for over 35 years. She drew
caricatures as a cruise ship entertainer for several years, traveling
the world with her easel, drawing caricatures as a treasured
keepsake. Andrea was honored to be the Poolside Caricaturist for
Loews Coronado Bay Resort for five years. Prior to that, she owned
a retail caricature booth at Belmont Park in Mission Beach for
many years. Andrea is a professional member of the International
Society of Caricature Artists (ISCA) and attends the annual
caricature convention to learn from some the best artists in the
world to continually grow and develop her craft.
