Dr. Congcong Bi-Cellist

An accomplished cellist trusted by premier brands and distinguished clients across Georgia, including Aston Martin, BMW, Governor Brian Kemp, the Atlanta Braves, Emory University, and Emory Hospital. Bi brings professional musicianship and a refined musical experience to every client and event.

Dr. Congcong Bi is an Atlanta based professional cellist providing live music for corporate events, weddings, private occasions, and public performances.

She offers both traditional acoustic cello and amplified sets playing with backing tracks. Bringing her own professional wireless microphone, she performs live cello over piano, orchestral, or modern pop arrangements.

Bi entered the Xinghai Conservatory at age 13 and earned a spot at the ArtEZ Conservatorium in the Netherlands at 17 with the school's highest scholarship. After completing her Bachelor’s degree, she moved to the United States to earn her Master’s degree from Lee University and her doctorate from the University of Southern Mississippi. She won the 2018 Lee University Concerto Competition and represented Mississippi at the division level of the 2020 MTNA competition. Alongside performing, Dr. Bi teaches at the University of North Georgia and Gwinnett Technical College, with research published in the International Journal of Computer Mathematics and presented in the United States and Würzburg, Germany.

Dr. Bi has been a featured performer for premier brands and clients across Georgia, including Aston Martin, BMW, Governor Brian Kemp, the Atlanta Braves, Emory University, and Emory Hospital. As a cofounder of her string ensemble and an experienced musician contractor, she can curate a custom group of professional players to fit your exact event needs.

Sound and Amplification
There are no technical requirements for an acoustic performance, other than a sturdy armless chair.

If your event already has a DJ or sound system, Bi will bring her own wireless cello microphone to plug into their setup at no extra charge. If you need her to provide a complete sound system (speaker, amplifier, and mixer), she can bring her own full setup for an additional equipment fee included in your quote.

Backing Tracks and Sheet Music
If you are booking a performance with backing tracks or requesting specific songs, any scores and backing tracks in the public domain are free of charge. If a song is not in the public domain and requires buying sheet music or a backing track, the client covers the cost to purchase those materials.
