Doug has been a practicing magician for over 25 years.
The magic began in third grade when a teacher taught the class a simple routine. By middle school he was winning talent shows and by age 18 Doug had scored a job as a professional magician working at Carowinds amusement park... there was no looking back.
If there's a close-up / parlor venue that can be worked, chances are Mr. Conn has worked it. The phrase “been there done that” comes to mind; Restaurants, Bars, Casinos, Riverboats, Banquets, Trade-shows, Meetings, Conventions & more. Conn spends his free time in pursuit of the illusive miracle. These pursuits have produced a large body of original work, much of which has seen print in major magic publications (including: Magic Magazine, The Linking Ring, Modus-Operandi and Arcane.) Doug has penned a few original manuscripts and has also contributed to several large book projects (CyberSessions, The Magician's LTD Cookbook, Best of All Worlds and more.) In 2000 Paul Cummins and his FASDIU press released “Tricks of My Trade – The Magic of Doug Conn” the book was well received and quickly sold old. Paul Cummins has just released a 2nd printing of the book.

I use cards, coins, rope and other every day objects to create magic. I'm an expert sleight of hand artist and use skill to accomplish most of my effects. This is cleverly concealed through the use of funny presentations and audience involvement. Custom presentations are available for product promotion and special events.
