Overview
Experienced and accomplished performance artist with a decade-long journey as a poet, storyteller, voice-over actor, and emcee. As a trained actor, I bring a depth of expression to my performances. I've had the privilege of making ten live appearances on Atlanta's syndicated radio station V-103's "Poetic Moments." I've performed poetry at over 50 Poetry events including galas and festivals. With a repertoire that spans multiple states, I have also hosted dozens of events and produced a monthly poetry radio show.

Lauren Doriahna performed excellent. She was very professional throughout the entire process by communicating with me before, during and after the event ensuring she was prepared to render a flawless performance. She showed up well before the event start time, which was very helpful to our host. Her talent enhanced our event tremendously. What to expect
As a poet, I can write custom poems for your event if needed. As an emcee, I love to engage with your audience, keep your event moving on schedule, and I make sure everyone is engaged. Finally, I bring the fun to your special occasion!! I dress appropriately for the occasion. I like to briefly speak to the audience to break the ice. I do not use profanity in my poetry or intros. I do not go over my set time. I ask if I can give out business cards or sell books at a reserved table if it is appropriate for the event.

Doriahna is a trained actor, performance poet, and emcee. She performs social, comedic and love poetry. She is a regular performance poet and emcee on the affluent artist circuit nationwide. She is a dynamic writer and entertainer. She has been an emcee for galas, festivals, private parties, and more. She has made ten appearances on Atlanta's globally syndicated radio station V-103's "Poetic Moments.”
Additional booking notes
I prefer a sound system and a microphone. However, I can project my voice loudly in smaller venues, which can reach all the way to the back of a room of 100 people.

Influences and inspiration
My poetry was influenced by Maya Angelou, Nikki Giovanni, and poets of the Harlem Renaissance era. I listen to diverse music with lots of poetry influences such as Erykah Badu, Lauryn Hill,and The Roots. These musicians and poets have helped inspire my poetry.
