February 24, 2026Could not be better
I wanted to surprise my long distance boyfriend with a magician, and Doc Plain Magic worked with me to make my idea even better than I could have imagined. He responded to my initial request quickly and with initiative, suggesting that my boyfriend invite friends to make the experience even more fun, proposing a location for the show, and making sure the surprise aspect would be protected. He even had the idea to FaceTime me in for one of the tricks, so I could be a part of the experience, even from a distance. As for the rest of his tricks, my boyfriend said he and his friends had their minds blown again and again. Doc Plain Magic worked with me on my budget and vision not because he had to, but because he has an evident passion for his work that makes it hard to imagine a better magician out there. Whether you're planning an event or just want to surprise someone with a little magic in their lives, I cannot recommend Doc Plain Magic enough.

February 1, 2026Amazing Magician. Would Highly Recommend
Doc Plain provided entertainment for my 22nd birthday party. He made a group of college students laugh and be amazed. Some of the tricks he performed were incredible and almost seemed impossible to do. Would highly recommend him as he is very friendly and very professional.

What to expect
It all depends upon the venue and the type of show best suited for the client's needs.
An adult birthday party may be an hour of sitting down and enjoying close-up magic of cards, coins, and a bit of mind reading.
A wedding may be several hours of strolling at a reception, going from group to group performing various tricks. Of course, there's always a very special routine for the happy couple.
There are larger shows, parlor or street shows, that can be done indoors, or out. These shows can be tailored for a variety of occasions, such as corporate events, family gatherings, or birthdays. They can be made suitable for all age groups.
Trade Show magic, is similar to street performing. Using magic routines the incorporate the company's products, the magician grabs attendees attention, and gets them talking to the company's staff.
Or there can be a combination of any of the above, such as a half hour parlor show with an hour of strolling.
About
My fascination with magic began at age 10 with a class at my local library. From there, I honed my skills performing for friends and family, occasionally even getting hired for birthday parties. College sparked a new passion: street magic, leading to a memorable performance at Milwaukee's first Bastille Day festival. Since then, I've brought my act to a variety of venues, including the Milwaukee Fringe Festival, Green Bay Busker Fest, and farmers' markets across the country. This experience naturally transitioned into performing strolling magic at corporate events and weddings. Recently, I've found myself back to birthday parties, though now they're for a more mature audience!

Influences and inspiration
For my street shows I've been influenced by the storytelling type of performers such as Whit "Pop" Haydn and Hannibal.
For close up and strolling, done for birthdays and strolling, Jon Armstrong, Jon Allen, and Doc Eason have been big. Friendly, engaging, and putting the magic in the hands of the audience.
Trade Show and corporate work have been influenced by Danny Orleans as well as Seth Kramer. Both tops in the fields, lessons taken from them include how to incorporate the company's message into the magic.
