For a speech on the introduction to Do-in: Mindful Self-Massage, the audience would see why Do-in benefits individuals both from a Western medicine as well as Chinese medicine perspective. Do-in can help to reduce stress, promote self-healing, enhance athletic performance, control pain, provide general health maintenance, and help people live a longer and happier life.
For a workshop on Do-in: Mindful Self-Massage, participants will learn a massage sequence for the practice of Do-in. They will learn 12 acupuncture source points, find their "golden" points, learn about the principle of the Whole, and experience qi, the vital force.
When I was 12, my grandmother died. Having faced death for the first time, I launched into the pursuit of immortality. After becoming a psychiatrist, a taichi instructor and a massage therapist for more than 40 years, I have committed myself to the sharing of Do-in: Mindful Self-Massage. I hope to spread this practice throughout the world. Every yoga studio should have a class on Do-in. Indeed, there should be a Do-in Studio for every yoga studio out there!
