When you hire me, you can expect more than someone who simply shows up and plays music. I take the time to understand your event, your guests, your musical preferences, and the kind of atmosphere you want to create.

I believe preparation and communication are a big part of a successful event. I coordinate with clients, planners, venues, and other vendors when needed so that important moments happen when they’re supposed to and everyone is on the same page.

Once the celebration begins, I pay attention to the room. I’m comfortable working with different generations, cultures, and musical tastes, and I adjust throughout the event based on how your guests are responding rather than relying on a predetermined playlist.

You can also expect me to come prepared. Events don’t always go exactly as planned, and when something unexpected happens, my approach is to find a solution and keep things moving without unnecessarily involving the client in problems that can be handled behind the scenes.

Most importantly, I want you to be able to enjoy your own event. My job is to take care of the music, announcements, transitions, energy, and the details within my role so you can spend your time celebrating with your guests.

My love for music started long before I ever thought about becoming a DJ. As a kid, I was the one scratching my dad’s records on an old Realistic LAB-Series 440 turntable from RadioShack, listening to everything from hip-hop on the radio to the rancheras I grew up hearing at home.

I also loved to dance, so I was always paying attention to the songs that made people want to move. I remember wanting to make mixtapes with nothing but my favorite songs, and when my uncle got a Panasonic all-in-one stereo system that could dub cassette tapes, suddenly I could. I didn’t know it at the time, but I was already learning how much the order and selection of music could change the way you experienced it.

At parties, I noticed something else. Everybody wanted to hear their favorite song, which usually meant people lining up around the stereo with records or CDs, waiting for their turn to put something on. I started becoming the person who could bring those different tastes together and keep the music going. Eventually, that love of music, dancing, and putting songs together turned into DJing.

More than 26 years later, that’s still what I enjoy most about being a DJ. The equipment has changed quite a bit since those records and cassette tapes, but the idea hasn’t: read the room, bring people together through music, and keep them wanting to hear what comes next.

Today, I’m an open-format DJ and MC serving weddings, quinceañeras, Bar and Bat Mitzvahs, corporate events, school functions, community events, and private celebrations throughout the Bay Area. My musical background spans generations and cultures, from R&B, hip-hop, funk, disco, rock and Top 40 to salsa, cumbia, merengue, reggaeton, banda, rancheras, norteñas and much more.

I provide professional sound, wireless microphones, DJ equipment, and lighting based on the event and package selected. My system can be scaled to accommodate different venue sizes, guest counts, and event needs.

For weddings and events with multiple locations, separate sound systems can be provided for ceremonies, cocktail hours, and receptions when needed. Larger packages can also include expanded sound, subwoofers, and enhanced dance-floor lighting.

I typically require approximately 2 hours for load-in, setup, sound check, and final coordination. Larger productions or multiple setup locations may require additional time. Generator or alternative power options may also be available for locations without adequate electrical service when arranged in advance.

I work with venues and event professionals to coordinate technical details ahead of time so everything is ready when your event begins.
