DJ Tycoon and his staff member, Justin, did an amazing job with an adult birthday party. The dance floor stayed full the whole night and he transitioned seamlessly to karaoke vibes. I would hire them again in a heartbeat.

DJ Tycoon was the DJ for our kid's Halloween event and he was wonderful! Not only did he show up in a full Spiderman costume, but he really understood and catered to the type of event this was. The music he played was on-theme and kid friendly, and I could tell that he took the time to carefully curate a song list that was appropriate for the attendees. His setup was great; he was on time and was extremely friendly and polite. I highly recommend DJ Tycoon for your next event, and we would be happy to welcome him back for to DJ another one of our events. Thank you, DJ Tycoon!

Hi, I’m LaRonn Simmons, better known as DJ Tycoon — a professional open-format DJ based in St. Louis, Missouri, specializing in creating events that feel personal, polished, and unforgettable.
My journey behind the decks started unexpectedly in 2020. As a former nightclub owner, I found myself without a DJ one night and decided to step behind the booth myself. What started as a last-minute solution quickly turned into a passion — and ultimately, a career built around bringing people together through music.
Today, I’ve had the opportunity to provide entertainment for everything from weddings and corporate events to private celebrations, festivals, sporting events, nightlife, and large-scale brand experiences. My open-format style allows me to comfortably mix everything from Hip-Hop, R&B, Pop, Rock, Country, and Top 40 to Afrobeats, House, Reggae, Latin, Soul, and more.
But great entertainment is about more than simply playing great songs.
I pride myself on being someone clients, planners, venues, and fellow vendors genuinely enjoy working with. From our first conversation through the final song of the night, my goal is to make the process easy, organized, collaborative, and stress-free. I take the time to understand your vision, communicate clearly, arrive prepared, and create an experience that feels specifically designed for you and your guests.

I’m also proud to serve on the Executive Board of the St. Louis Chapter of the Wedding Industry Professionals Association (WIPA), where I have the opportunity to work alongside and help support some of the area’s leading wedding and event professionals.
