We booked DJ Tro for our event and he absolutely delivered. From the moment the music started, the vibe was right. He mixed Latin hits perfectly and kept the dance floor full all night. Dj Tro was incredible from start to finish, he has an unlimited music selection. The salsa, merengue,bachata all hit timely and perfectly. His keen eye and understanding on how to move a croud was escptional. Dj Tro made the event more interesting when he played the piano live wothout any form of rehearsal. He is an excellent communicator, super professional and very easy to work with. Dj Tro turned our party out. 10 out of 10

About
Mitchell DeLaCruz is a seasoned DJ and musician with over 15 years of experience creating unforgettable musical experiences. Blending the energy of a professional DJ with the musicianship of a trained pianist and bassist, he brings a unique, elevated sound to every event.
Mitchell holds an Associate’s Degree in Arts and Sciences in Music from Essex County College, graduating with highest honors in 2024, and earned his Bachelor’s degree in Music Studies from William Paterson University, graduating magna cum laude in 2026. He will continue his education at Arizona State University in the Music Learning and Teaching Master’s program beginning Fall 2026.
Specializing in Latin, Hip-Hop, House, Afrobeats, and Top 40, Mitchell is known for reading the crowd, seamless transitions, and keeping the dance floor packed. In addition to DJ services, he leads his own live Latin band, offering clients the option of a dynamic hybrid DJ/live music experience.

My live performance features my original music performed with a full live Latin band, creating a high-energy and authentic musical experience tailored to each event. Each show blends musicianship, rhythm, and audience interaction to keep the energy moving throughout the performance.
As a DJ and live performer, I cover a wide range of music including salsa, merengue, bachata, and cumbia, along with Hip-Hop, Top 40, House, Afrobeats, and more. Every set is customized in real time based on the crowd and client preferences to ensure the right vibe from start to finish.
Influences and inspiration
My primary musical influence is El Rey Tulile, the iconic merengue artist from the Dominican Republic. I’ve had the privilege of performing alongside him, which has greatly shaped my style, energy, and approach to live performance and Latin music.
