Dj Travel Addict

So.... this is going to be long winded.
It's she a good DJ yes.... but not for my event. In her defense, there was a lot of drama at the beginning of my event and the schedule was a little bit off two of the items in the lineup had to be dropped and changed however that does not excuse the rest of the night.
I will start by saying that even my vendors/performers were p***** off and have sent me text regarding what happened. I am not sure if DJ travel addict was flustered or ill-prepared. Despite having printed notes and the day before, I did ask if she had any questions.
I will start by listing the good. She came on time and she set up and was able to keep my crowd and the music going while there was drama going on behind the scenes.
The bad
My burlesque drag queen angel west
She played the wrong song- her second song first to the point where miss angel had to yell into the room to play disease by lady gaga because she finally got annoyed.
She lost her second song AND mixed up two different performers Angela my belly dancer and angel west. Luckily my cohost was able to cover frequently so my guests could not tell.
Throughout the night, magnus constantly had to cover for her to the point where I almost walked up, and he told me to sit down he had it.
Angel west pulled me aside later that night and told me she was appalled.
For my divorce crew walk. ( Now admittably, there was chaos, so i'm not completely upset with her for this because two members of my crew didn't show up so they had to be omitted) however, in the notes I provided her timestamps for each and every song all she had to do was keep out two.
The first song barracuda timestamp ends at around one minute. She played for too long, forcing my dcrew member to improvise and keep twirling around awkwardly, for the crowd. 😅
The second song HER my other Dcrew member just sat down to make sure she cut her off. The third song WHICH WAS ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT for my brother i gave her a specific part to play that was cut! She could have just kept playing that one because she cut off literally the part that I asked her to play. What was worse was, she played up until that part! And then cut it off completely cutting off my brother's performance which he recovered gracefully and just sat down.
Then she played my walk song before the sumba dancers we're in their positions, which was specifically in her notes. So we had to stop get them where they needed to be. So we could do it again.
On my sumba dancer's second performance as they walked out, she played music but then once again seems to have lost there song as they had to stand awkwardly for more than a few minutes waiting for their song to play. Luckily my mc Magnus was on it and able to recover the crowd So they didn't notice.
One of the biggest offenses was she lost the drag queen porsche XL's song and had to GET UP leave the room and ask her for her song. This was after my cohost, magnus announced her creating the longest awkwardest silence.... it was abysmal.

DJ was absolutely wonderful! We ran into some unexpected Wi-Fi issues that caused delays getting everything started, but she was incredibly patient, professional, and relentless in working through the technical difficulties. She never seemed flustered and remained focused on making sure everyone had a great time.

Once everything was up and running, the party was a blast! She kept the energy up, read the crowd well, and helped make our pool party celebration for the bride and groom-to-be such a fun and memorable event. We are so grateful for her patience and dedication and would absolutely hire her again!
