What to expect
Clients can expect an energetic, open-format DJ set built around their crowd and the kind of experience they want to create. I’m comfortable blending current hits, throwbacks, hip-hop, R&B, dancehall, afrobeats, Southern party music, and other high-energy sounds. I pay attention to the room, adjust when needed, and use clean transitions and mashups to keep the music flowing.
I arrive prepared, communicate clearly, and treat every booking professionally. Song requests are welcome when they fit the event, and I can also provide light MC support for introductions, announcements, and key moments throughout the event.
About
I’ve been DJing for a little over a year. I got started because I’ve always loved the feeling of going out, hearing a great DJ, and being able to forget about everything else for a while. I wanted to learn how to create that same energy for other people—a night where they can let loose, have fun, and stay locked into the music.
My brother and I connected with a local nightclub DJ on St. Simons Island who helped us sharpen our skills and introduced us to the owners of Rafters. They gave us an opportunity to show what we could do, and that opportunity turned into a regular position as house DJs. Since then, I’ve continued developing my own style as OTR, focused on reading the crowd, mixing different sounds, and keeping the energy moving.
Additional booking notes
My primary DJ setup includes a Pioneer DDJ-FLX10 controller, performance laptop, microphone, and the necessary cables and connections. I can connect to a venue’s existing professional sound system when one is available.
If the venue does not provide sound or lighting, the appropriate equipment can be arranged based on the venue size, guest count, and event needs. Any required rental equipment will be discussed in advance and included in the customized quote so the full setup is clear before booking.
Influences and inspiration
My biggest influences have come from going out to different venues and paying attention to how each DJ shapes the experience. I notice how they read the crowd, build energy, transition between sounds, and create the kind of atmosphere that lets people forget about everything else and enjoy themselves. I also watch DJ sets and mixes on YouTube to study different techniques and approaches.
Watching my brother make music and seeing how much he enjoyed the creative process also inspired me. We decided to begin learning how to DJ together as a way to spend more time with each other, have fun, and learn something new. What started as something we could enjoy together eventually grew into regular gigs and a journey that we’re continuing to build.
