Focus on benefits, not just features: Instead of just saying "I play the guitar," say "I provide a sophisticated musical backdrop that allows your guests to mingle comfortably."
Address an event planner's fears: Planners worry about entertainers being late, unprofessional, or technically difficult. Explicitly stating that you are punctual, self-sufficient, or communicative will win them over.
Keep it scannable: Use bullet points and bold text so busy clients can quickly see exactly what they are getting.

🎧 Technical Rider & Performance Requirements
To ensure the highest quality performance and the safety of all guests and equipment, the client or venue must accommodate the following technical specifications.
🔊 1. Audio & Sound Requirements
Power Supply: At least two (2) dedicated 20-amp, 120-volt circuits (isolated from lighting and kitchen appliances to prevent audio hum or circuit trips). Outlets must be within 15 feet of the DJ setup area.
Acoustics & Placement: The DJ setup must be positioned on a flat, stable surface with a clear line of sight to the main dance floor. Speakers must not be placed directly against walls or in corners to avoid bass distortion.
Sound Check: A minimum of 30 to 45 minutes is required for a full sound check prior to guest arrival.
💡 2. Lighting & Visuals
Ambient Control: For maximum impact of dance floor lighting, ambient venue lights above the dance floor and DJ area must be dimmable or able to be turned off completely during the dancing portion of the event.
Power: Lighting fixtures must run on a separate circuit from the main audio equipment to prevent electrical interference.
Hazer/Fog Machines (Optional): If the performance includes atmospheric effects, the venue must permit the use of water-based fog or haze machines and disable smoke detectors in the immediate area if necessary.
🪵 3. Staging & Space Layout
Performance Space: A minimum performance footprint of 10 feet wide by 6 feet deep is required to accommodate the DJ facade, controllers, audio stands, and lighting trees.
Table/Support: If a professional DJ booth is not provided by the performer, the venue must provide one sturdy, skirted 6-foot or 8-foot banquet table.
Outdoor Events: For outdoor venues, complete overhead shelter (tents, pavilions, or canopies) is strictly required to protect sensitive digital electronics from direct sunlight, heat, and unexpected precipitation. The temperature of the performance area must remain between 60°F and 95°F.
🛡️ 4. Logistics & Security
Load-In / Load-Out: The venue must provide a clear, accessible path from the loading dock or parking area to the performance space (including elevator access if the event is not on the ground floor). A minimum of 2 hours for setup and 1 hour for breakdown is required.
Security: If the event is open to the public or features high guest counts, reasonable security must be maintained around the DJ booth to prevent guests from bumping into equipment, spilling drinks on electronics, or entering the performance are
Categorize by Genre or Mood: If you play a wide variety of music, break them down with headings (e.g., Acoustic Pop Covers, Classic Rock, Jazz Standards).
Showcase Your Versatility: You don't need to type out all 11,000 characters, but listing 20–30 of your most popular, crowd-pleasing songs is a great sweet spot.
Include Notable Artists: If you play covers, formatting them as Song Title – Original Artist helps planners quickly scan for their favorites.
Mention Custom Requests: If you are willing to learn a special song for a wedding or private party, add a quick note at the top or bottom of your list (e.g., "Open to learning up to 3 custom requests per event!").
If you'd like a hand formatting a specific list or need some crowd-pleasing song suggestions for your genre, just let me know what you play!
