June 26, 2024Exceptional DJ Entertainment for an Unforgettable Party
DJ Kutt delivered an extraordinary performance at my son's party, creating an unforgettable experience for all guests. Despite the unpredictable nature of the outdoor venue, DJ Kutt adapted seamlessly. He adjusted his sound system to ensure optimal audio quality, even under the open sky. DJ Kutt's ability to read the crowd was exceptional. He took the time to observe the guests and tailor his setlist accordingly. Whether it was pumping up the energy or creating a more relaxed atmosphere, he had a knack for knowing exactly what the party needed. DJ Kutt arrived on time and set up his equipment efficiently. He was professional and courteous throughout the event, ensuring that everything ran smoothly. I highly recommend DJ Kutt for any party or event where you want to ensure an unforgettable musical experience.

June 26, 2024Definitely The Best
I booked DJ Kutt for an event (baby shower) for my client. I am not hard to please nor am I easily impressed, however DJ KUTT did his THING. The music played kept the part going and people engaged. For each stage of the baby shower, he played music to fit the situation (i.e. games, opening of gifts, and entrance of the mother to be). I was extremely pleased with how he was able to keep an upbeat atmosphere and generally keep the vibe going. I definitely would and will be booking him for future events.

What to expect
I am a hip-hop DJ/Turntablist that plays new school and old school hip-hop music, new school and old school R&B music, a little of Reggie music and some new and old Pop music. According on what type of event or venue I am DJing and what type of crowd that’s there will determine what type of music that I play.
About
Terrance Haynes, who goes by DJ Kutt, is a turntablist and producer who could quite literally be considered a one-man band, who brings an array of mixing, scratching, trick-mixing, beat juggling, and body tricks center stage.
Explosive on the turntables, DJ Kutt is determined to spread the message of fun and positive music. Never wanting to disappoint his fans, DJ Kutt goes the extra mile to please his audience. “I make sure that I always have the equipment and music the people want to hear. Being a DJ requires the ability to learn how to read multiple people at the same time. Then practicing to have the talent and skills to give them what they want and when they want it. That’s why I bring an arsenal of mixing, scratching, trick-mixing, beat juggling and body tricks every night. I read my crowds and prepare my mixes accordingly,” he says with an undeniable confidence.
With Hip Hop’s cultural influence on the nation’s youth, a young Terrance Haynes was bitten by the Hip Hop bug at the early age of 10 years old. “I’ve always loved Hip Hop music. As a little kid, that’s what I was attracted to. I like it because of the reality and the story the songs tell. I’ve always been drawn to it.” While there are many facets to the Hip Hop culture, the art of DJing quickly resonated with him. It was then that he made it a priority to align himself with other prominent Nashville DJ’s. Over the next few years, DJ Kutt honed his skills while learning many DJ/Turntablist lessons. In particular, one lesson rang loud and clear: PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT! Armed with intense practice habits and a few lucky breaks, Kutt was quickly recognized as a must have for all parties and functions.
College life started in 1990 for DJ Kutt and proved to be exactly what he was looking for. He was introduced to DJs from around the country that all had the same thing in mind ... rocking the 1’s and 2’s! “I was focused on my education but I didn’t get rid of the whole music thing. I was a Mass Communications major at day and a Hip Hop fiend by night.” Remembering the early lesson learned that practice makes perfect, DJ Kutt stood out as a premier DJ and producer. His musical resume features numerous artistic accomplishments and directions. While in college, Kutt captured titles in several DJ competitions and lent his services to a couple of celebrated Hip Hop groups including: Groove Union, Lahg Bros., and Gatorboy Goodie. They helped take DJ Kutt from the party scene and competition realm to the performance stage.
With the ability to exhibit his turntable wizardry and musical creativity, several radio stations including Vanderbilt’s 91.1 FM, Fisk’s 88.1 FM, and other prominent radio stations came knocking and helped Kutt create a diverse following. Shortly thereafter, DJ Kutt decided that the time was right to pursue a major presence in the mix CD arena. With the help of 92.1 FM radio personality and childhood friend DJ Darryl Jaye, DJ Kutt Volume One suddenly materialized. His first volume did not disappoint as it became a top seller at many Nashville record stores. Shortly thereafter, Blazin’ 106.7 FM took notice and hired him as one of their main nighttime Mix Show DJs.
In 2001, a chance meeting with Gospel Hip Hop’s internationally known DJ Maj would prove invaluable, both spiritually and professionally. Acknowledging Kutt’s superior DJ/Turntablist skills, DJ Maj introduced him to critically acclaimed emcee Knowda Verbs, a label mate on Gotee Records. While accompanying Verbs around the country, he spread the message of fun and positive music. Hearing the buzz about DJ Kutt, Steve Boldwin and Louis Palou hired DJ Kutt for their skateboard and BMX bike tour, called the Livin’ It Tour. He continues to make moves with From Scratch Media and beat mix CDs that showcase DJ Kutt’s unquestionable ability. Watch out because DJ Kutt could be coming to a town near you!
