Technical Requirements
To deliver the highest quality sound and performance, the following technical requirements help ensure a smooth and successful event:
Power
• Minimum of two dedicated grounded power outlets within 10–15 feet of DJ setup
• Standard 110–120V power required
• DJ is not responsible for interruptions caused by unstable or insufficient power sources
Sound
• I typically provide my own professional sound system suitable for the size and type of event, ensuring clear, balanced audio for guests.
• If the client or venue prefers that I use an in-house sound system, I am happy to accommodate, provided the equipment is fully functional and compatible with my DJ setup.
• Access to the sound system must be available during setup time for proper testing and level adjustment.
• Professional PA system appropriate for audience size and venue
• Speaker placement should be elevated and clear of obstructions for optimal sound coverage
• Subwoofers recommended for medium to large events for full-range sound
• Volume levels will be adjusted in accordance with venue regulations
Lighting
• Basic lighting near DJ area required for safe operation
• For evening events, additional event lighting is recommended to enhance the atmosphere
• DJ lighting options may be available upon request
Staging & Performance Area
• Minimum performance space of 6x6 ft
• Safe, level surface required for equipment stability
• DJ area should be positioned away from heavy foot traffic when possible
Outdoor Events
• Covered area is mandatory to protect equipment from sun, wind, or rain
• Access to grounded power source required
• DJ reserves the right to stop performance if weather conditions pose a risk to equipment
Setup & Breakdown
• Setup time: 1.5 to 2 hours prior to event start, depending on equipment needs
• Breakdown time: approximately 1.5 to 2 hours.
• Client must ensure venue access at agreed times
