A professional who shows up prepared. I arrive early, set up quietly and efficiently, and am ready to go before your first guest walks in. No scrambling, no technical surprises.

Live mixing from start to finish. Every song flows into the next with intention. I don't hit play on a playlist. I read the room and build energy in real time, adjusting the music to match the moment.

Full MC services included. Introductions, grand entrance, first dance cues, toasts, cake cutting, last dance. I keep your event on timeline and make every announcement land with the right energy.

Uplighting and dance floor lighting. The full visual experience is included, so your venue looks the way it should.

Genre versatility. Hip-hop, R&B, Pop, Top 40, Latin, reggaeton, Dancehall, Soca, Afrobeats and more. One DJ who can genuinely do it all, with no awkward genre switches mid-event.

Clear communication before the event. You'll know exactly what to expect, and I'll know exactly what you need before we ever set foot in the venue.

Music has always been the constant. Growing up in the DMV, I was drawn to the culture, the energy, and the way a great DJ could control a room without saying a word. That fascination turned into a passion, and that passion turned into Jay Stylez Entertainment.
I trained formally at Scratch DJ Academy and had the rare opportunity to come up under the mentorship of DJ Jazzy Jeff one of the greatest to ever do it. Those experiences shaped not just my technical skills but my understanding of what it means to truly serve a crowd.

I don't do pre-programmed sets. Every event gets a live mix built around the energy in the room. I read people, I read moments, and I adjust on the fly. That's what separates a good DJ from a great one.
Beyond the music, I bring full MC services to every booking keeping your event on timeline, hyping the crowd, and making sure every moment lands the way it should. Uplighting and dance floor lighting are included too, because the visual experience matters just as much as the sound.
When you book DJ JayStylez, you're not just hiring someone to play music. You're hiring someone who treats your event like it's the most important one of the year because to you, it is.

Power: Two standard 120V outlets (20-amp circuit preferred). One for the DJ setup, one for lighting. I do not share circuits with catering equipment or other high-draw appliances.

Space: Minimum 6x6 feet of floor space for the DJ setup. A dedicated DJ table or booth area is preferred. I travel with my own custom DJ booth.

Sound: Full PA system included for events up to 200 guests. Larger venues may require additional speakers this will be discussed during booking.

Lighting: Uplighting and dance floor lighting are included and self-contained. No additional rigging or venue lighting infrastructure required.

Setup time: I require a minimum of 60-90 minutes for load-in and setup before the event start time. Early access to the venue is appreciated.

Outdoor events: Outdoor performances are welcome with advance notice. A covered area or tent is required to protect equipment from direct sunlight and weather.

Ceremony audio: Ceremony sound systems are available as an add-on. Please inquire during booking.
