2014 The Haven of Rest Ministries, Battle Creek, MI

1. Federal grant application consultation for the following grant application: Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration’s (SAMHSA), Center for Substance Abuse Treatment (CSAT) Residential Treatment for Pregnant and Postpartum Women (PPW) grant program

2. Accreditation consultation for Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) on-site accreditation review of the Haven’s programs, facilities and staff, scheduled for the spring of (phone number hidden)4 Led a grass-roots Neighborhood Grant application campaign resulting in a submission to the Battle Creek Community Foundation; more than 15 neighborhood volunteers and 5 local art organizations are committed to the project, which intends to start an Artists-In-Residence Battle Creek (A-I-R BC) program, bringing professional and amateur artists into the lowest performing school district in Calhoun County, Battle Creek Schools; the program will have these artists teach the students many different art mediums over an initial twelve- month grant period, including, but not limited to: dance, sculpture, music, photography, and theatre; coordinated and signed agreement with fiscal sponsor, Urban League of Battle Creek

2014 Foundation grant application consultation
Assisted with two grant applications: 1) Character, Respect, and Integrity (CRI) electronic grant submission from the CRI program’s Founder to the Battle Creek Community Foundation to implement the CRI program in Calhoun County Schools, primarily in school districts with low graduation rates, and 2) First Salem Missionary Baptist Church electronic grant submission to the Battle Creek Community Foundation to provide a parenting program to young mothers, fathers, and their family unit, primarily focused on the inner-city community in close proximity to the church
