June 10, 2025The Sport Management class I teach at Point Pleasant Borough High School organized a fundraiser, doubleheader kickball game on June 3rd. The first game was the Challenger game between Point Pleasant and Brick with a superhero theme followed by the Seniors vs Staff Kickball Game which had a tropical theme. DJ Erik was awesome leading up to and through the whole event. He was early to set up, well prepared based on our conversations and planning. He kept the fans and players energized throughout the event with appropriate theme music. He played music for a "Name that Tune" game. He played walk up songs for each of the Challenger kids and specific walk up songs for over 50 seniors and staff members over the course of 7 innings. A lot to keep track of and fast paced transitions which DJ Erik did seamlessly. DJ Erik played music non-stop for 3 1/2 hours.
I highly recommend DJ Erik. So much so I have lined him up for a couple of different parties over the next year and for next year's kickball game.

I’ve always been drawn to music—it was how I made sense of the world growing up. At first it was just collecting records, making mixes for friends, spinning vinyl at bars around Brooklyn. People started asking me to play weddings, parties, charity events. I realized this is my calling!

I believe everyone deserves a great party. Music is a community experience, I don’t want price to be the reason someone settles for bad sound or a bad vibe at a once-in-a-lifetime event. I try to keep rates fair because I care about bringing the best to each gig, not just about making money.
Every event has its own rhythm. A school dance needs high energy and clean versions of songs. A fundraiser might call for low-key atmosphere early and a dancefloor later. I come prepared, but I stay flexible. I’m not trying to force my style onto the event, I’m always adapting to what’s needed.
