What to Expect

From the moment myself or my team enters your event venue you can expect to see us professionally dressed and ready to go. I always greet everyone with a smile up front, and then take a walk of the venue. I can either do this with you or by myself. What I'm looking for are things like outlets, great spots for additional lighting, speaker placement, and any potential problem spots that might throw off either a dance floor feel, or the sound reaching everyone equally.
Depending on the event and amount of set up, my first priority is to have sound ready to go. Most events within 25 minutes of arrival we will have a sound check finished and music ready to go as soon as the first guest arrives. During that time, we also typically work on placing any up lights around the room and then aim dance lights for the dance floor. Lastly we work on any projection materials like television screens or projected monograms.
My set up time ranges from 15 to 90 minutes depending on the scope of the event. I always pledge to be 100% ready and operational before the first guest walks into the room. I believe heavily in avoiding "Smoking Cinderellas" or anything that would remove a guest from the magic of the event.
Song choices are no option, I have hundreds of thousands of songs at my disposal, and we always guarantee your requests fielded before the event will be ready to go.
I believe in working a crowd and a microphone, and am not afraid to use it. I periodically make announcements for the venue, event and guests. For example fundraisers and business events I will make promotional announcements or promos throughout the entire night. If it is a wedding, then keeping the guests informed as to what special events are coming up next is my top priority. I work closely with all of your event staff to ensure that no one gets left in the dark and everyone knows exactly what is going on.
For dance events, I often take requests from the crowd (depending on the events wishes for requests) and do my best to keep a high-energy flow to the night with periodic slow downs so people can take a breather and often times participate in other festivities of the night.

About

I started out early in entertainment acting, singing, and playing instruments through highschool. In college I took a turn and decided to study psychology, but eventually left to work in management and customer service. I took the next several years slowly building my own brand of entertainment customer service. During college, I started as a mild-mannered karaoke DJ at a local college nightclub. What else could be said, I simply fell in love with entertaining all over again. I spent 5 years working as a retail manager while I built my entertainment business and brand on the side. Finally, I stepped away from the retail world and dove fully into entertainment!
I have since then worked as an event host for many festivals and events offering my speaking voice, and presence to help keep these events flowing properly. I also have done EmCee and DJ work for hundreds of weddings, parties, charity events and more! In 2014 I officially started my own entertainment company and began expanding into every aspect of events and entertainment. Recently, in 2016, I have put a newly renewed focus on doing live sound for bands and running charity concerts. I believe heavily that it is important for people to give back to the communities that support them.

Additional Booking Notes

My standard setup is any combination from one to two Bose L1 Model S or L2 systems with a B2 Subwoofer. Bose has been a very trusted brand for years, and I wholeheartedly support the supreme sound quality and sleek design of these speakers.
For bigger events I will bring up to 4 Bose towers to place around the room and create an equal sound evenly for all guests. I do not like to blast guests out of their seats while they are attempting to eat food, and I find that placing multiple speakers in strategic locations gives a much more level sound even at lower volumes.
I come with all the dance lights you could imagine. Typically, I bring one light tree with 4 Chauvet Slim Par 56 lights, 1 American DJ QuadPhase Derby Light, 1 Chauvet Cubix2 Derby/Moonflower, and a Chauvet ColorStrip Mini FX. This bar is designed to wash the dance floor and ceiling in ambient light from the SlimPars and then throw fun and exciting dance lights and laser effects across the floor and room with a combination of the others. The entire bar can be controlled via DMX and/or toggle switches meaning I keep the lighting specific to the tone of the songs.
My up lights consist of no fewer than 8 points of lighting using the Chauvet SlimPar 56 LED lights. More are always available upon request.
At my disposal are 2 HD projectors. One also supports 3D capability meaning we can screen 3D videos and movies just like at the theater!
