What to expect
We're pros. We'll be on time. We'll be ready to start when you want us to. We're flexible. If there are surprises, we'll go with them. We've been playing a lot of years and if we haven't seen it all, we've seen most of it!
All we need is room for 6 folding chairs and our music stands and we're good to go.
We'll have a prepared set list, but we don't care if there are special requests. If we have them in advance, we'll work up any song(s) you like. If not, we'll usually be able to put something together during our break.
Since we're an all-acoustic group, we don't need a sound system, but if you do, we can bring one.
About
Dixie River Krewe is a group of musicians that loves to play Dixieland music.
We've been playing Dixieland together for over five years.
We're happy to play small or large get togethers.
Four of us are band directors.
We all play with other groups as well.
Our instrumentation is trumpet, trombone, tuba, clarinet, sax and drums.
We are completely acoustic but can bring along a small sound system if called for.
