Michael and Lonny brought an amazing show to Dolly Pop Up!

We were blown away by Michael and Lonny's amazing diverse repetoire and also the way that they can play so many different instruments. As a duo, they sound like a complete band - and they can keep a crowd rocking all night long!!!! You wouldn't expect two 39 year old dudes to be able to rock Dolly so well, but the crowd genuinely loved them!

What to expect

The audience can expect a wide variety of music genres and eras done with proficiency and professionalism - and a side of organic and fun interaction. We prefer to let our music do the talking, but we're old friends who also make it a point to have fun doing it!

About

Michael and Lonny first played together in a original and cover rock band in the early 2000's. A few years ago, they decided to go the duo route and have strived to go beyond just the standard 'acoustic duo' formula.
Wielding an ever expanding setlist of over 400 songs ranging from Louis Armstrong to Lady Gaga, with a lot of love given for classic rock and pop (the 80's are a favorite) and using foot percussion and bass settings, this two man group can sound like a full 4 piece band.
Whether you are looking for laid back dinner music or 'get people up to jump around' mayhem, Discord and Rhyme can cover the bases.

Additional booking notes

We don't require much in the way of power - one clean circuit can generally power us and our entire rig.
For space, while we always enjoy more, but we need at least 8' wide by 4' deep to cover our stage area.
We have PA sufficient to fill a small to mid-sized room (200-300 people).
We do not bring much in the way of lighting, since we tend to be pretty stationary, but we do have a few lights to help make the stage visible.

Influences and inspiration

Lonny grew up as an acolyte of Eddie Van Halen and lots of various 80's rock bands, but also eased into country in the 90's.
Michael has always been a rock head, with an obscure band called King's X being his favorite, but also eased into Irish traditional music.
Both have a big shared love for the greatest band of all time, The Beatles, and tend to gravitate towards more melodic and harmony based acts, which we enjoy incorporating in our music.

Setup requirements

At least one clean 110 circuit for power. At least 8' wide x 4' deep stage area.
