Discarded Mischief

A professional, fun, band. An all star band that have been playing music for years. World traveled and properly seasoned this band takes you on a musical journey that travels back in time. The journey moves through 400 years and blends so many styles, attitudes, sounds and melodies. From the Irish harp to the jigs and reels of the dance halls, from the porch steps to the corner of the pub, from the moon light to the stage lights of the modern day rock stage...this is Celtic inspired music all re-imagined with a touch of mischief.

Expect all the sing along favorites. Wild Rover, Whiskey In the Jar, and Dirty Old Town settles in right along with current rock hits by Flogging Molly and Seven Nations. But this band plays hits that go beyond the normal, ol Irish songs...U2, Eric O.A.R., Bob Dylan, Elvis, Avett Brothers, Billy Joel and so much more all added into the set list to create a fun, evening or event. All played in a world, Celtic, folk, Americana blend that is unique and as flavorful as gumbo.

We can play 30 minute opening slots to a full evening of music. So whether you are looking for music for your pub, bar, festival we are your band. If you are looking for an opening act for a touring band or someone to rock your private party we are still your band. Discarded Mischief is a unique blend of musicians that have come together to form a Celtic / Americana infused pop rock band. This is not your normal Celtic band...as a matter of fact very little about this group is normal.

So what about the name? Well do you know hard it is to find something cool, new and not used? Let me tell you it's not easy. So after looking at several names only to find out some obscure band from Liechtenstein has that name. Discarded Mischief came about because at the end of the day that is exactly what we are and what we do.

We celebrate the kid in all of us. The perpetual six year old that loves to play the practical joke on their little sister, that still finds cartoons fun and enjoys a well placed whoopee cushion. We celebrate the forgotten fun of childhood. We embrace our inner child. We remember skipping rocks and scraping our knees. Of moonlight skates at the rink, that first kiss and sneaking out back for a smoke.

But we all grow up and life gets in the way. We have jobs, families, even grandkids and those fun times and big dreams get discarded. You go from starry eyed kid dreaming of rock stardom to middle aged, middle management, fighting boredom with a minivan, black socks, new balance sneakers and memories.

Sure we are all older, grayer, "responsible" adults but we aren't too old to have fun and that is what this band is all about. It is about getting with friends, enjoying music, fun, maybe a pint or two...all with a gleam in our eyes and a hint of mischief.

If you are providing PA and mics we need either 10 mics with stands or 8 mics with stands and 2 DI boxes. We prefer 3 stage monitors. We can discuss and fill in gaps with your stage setup with our own equipment but all this must be discussed. THANKS for helping us provide you with the best show we can perform.
