What to expect
Dirt Avenue is a country and country-rock band based in the Inland Northwest, featuring Ryan Crossette and Samuel Gentry. As a duo, we bring original music and crowd-favorite covers to private parties, bars, corporate events, and venues across the region. We blend high-energy songs with classic country ballads, and when the moment calls for it, we expand into a full band for an even bigger live experience.
If an audience came to see us, they’d see a tight, professional show built for the room. We read the crowd and adjust — more boot-stompin’ energy for a party, smoother ballads for a dinner or wedding — so the music fits the occasion instead of fighting it. Our setlist mixes original songs with familiar covers, so guests of every age find something they know and love.
What a client gets is a reliable, easy-to-work-with band. We’re punctual, professional, and experienced at everything from backyard barbecues to corporate functions. We handle our own setup and teardown, and we can bring our own sound system and stage for an additional cost — which is a real advantage for venues without built-in production. We also work with event planners to tailor setlists, timing, and song requests ahead of time.
Whether you want a dance floor packed by midnight or a mellow soundtrack for a cocktail hour, Dirt Avenue delivers a polished, memorable performance every time.
About
Ryan Crossette
Biography:
I’m an independent singer-songwriter creating music rooted in honest storytelling with a modern Americana and country-leaning edge. My songs have connected with listeners across major streaming platforms, earning over 13 million streams on Pandora, more than 1,500 monthly listeners on Spotify, and Apple Music.
I’m a founding member of Dirt Avenue, where collaboration and raw, story-driven songwriting play a central role in the music I create. I focus on writing songs that feel real and relatable—driven by melody, emotion, and lived experience. I continue to build my audience organically, releasing music with the goal of creating meaningful connections and lasting songs.
I started playing the piano at the age of 5 years old on an old beat up upright in the back woods of Missouri. I have always had the desire to sit at the piano and pick out melodies. I remember from a very early age composing arrangements of my mother’s favorite songs at her request. I learned that music can touch people in ways that nothing else could. Once I recognized that there was no looking back. I had to be a part of reproducing those thoughts and feelings for people. Music is an anchor in my life. In times when I feel alone or in times of joy, music is always there.
Samuel Gentry
Biography:
Music has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. I grew up in the church, learning to play and lead from a young age, and later served as a worship pastor. I started playing bars while I was in the army, and for the past decade I’ve kept at it—carrying the music into louder rooms and learning what it takes to hold a crowd night after night. Along the way I spent a short stretch teaching, but the real work has always been the stage.
Alongside that journey I co-founded Dirt Avenue. What began as a shared vision has grown into the purest expression of the music I’ve always wanted to make—the place where church stages, late-night writing sessions, and countless bar gigs all come together.
My style draws from a little bit of everything, but it sits most naturally in the country vein: honest storytelling, rootsy textures, and songs that feel lived-in. Dirt Avenue is the home for that sound.
Additional booking notes
Dirt Avenue is a self-contained duo, and we can expand into a full band when the event calls for it. We don’t have special lighting, staging, or sound requirements.
Sound: We can perform with the venue’s existing PA (if up to standard) if one is available, or we can bring our own sound system for an additional cost. If we bring our own system, we’ll provide all the details ahead of time.
Power: We need access to standard 110-volt outlets near the stage. (We can run without power for up to 2 hours if the event is remote and cannot provide power.)
Stage: A raised stage is preferred but not required — we can perform on the floor. If we bring our own stages, that’s an additional cost, and setting them up adds 30 to 45 minutes to load-in.
Lighting: No special lighting requirements. Ambient venue lighting is fine.
Load-in: We typically need 30 to 45 minutes to set up and 20 to 30 minutes to tear down. We’ll coordinate times with the venue or event planner.
Other: We’re flexible on set times and breaks. If you have specific song requests or want to tailor the setlist, just let us know ahead of time.

Influences and inspiration
We love the sounds of classic and modern country — the harmony-driven style of the Eagles, the energy of Brooks and Dunn and Garth Brooks, the 90s country vibe, and today’s artists like Luke Combs, Riley Green, and Post Malone. That mix shapes everything we play.
