Leon Bernard Buie IV was born June 5, 1990, in Philadelphia. It is there, in the city of brotherly love, his love and passion for fashion evolved. July 2008, Bernard moved to Atlanta where he attended American Intercontinental University. While attending AIU he began working for upcoming designers as a way to gain an inside perspective on the business of fashion. His success working with these brands inspired him to create his very own clothing line.

Bernard Buie Clothing creates garments that provides the customer with a clean, attractive, and modern look. Equally important, Bernard Buie’s clothing allows one outfit to be fit for several different occasions which eliminates the feeling of intimidation for those who have no time to change in between public settings. As a humanitarian and designer Bernard spends the moments he is not in the studio designing, giving back to the community through youth empowerment and direct service.

In 2014, he was honored by President Barack Obama with the Lifetime Achievement award for 4,000 hours of community service. In 2015 he was honored by the city of Dover with a Proclamation for all of his service that he has completed. The goal-oriented designer promotes positivity, self-improvement and personal growth through fashion. Bernard Buie speaks to those who are making a progressive change in their lives, and encourage them with positive events, movements, and a clean universal style of clothing.

Duration of contract: Contract duration will depend on the package chosen by the party entering into the contract with Bernard Buie. Contract options range from 1 month to 3 months. The contract is effective immediately once both parties sign the contract.

Package Collection: Bernard Buie offers 3 different package collections for events. Each package was developed to offer clients the most appropriate and affordable options for their event. The collective services bundled together in each package have been strategically constructed by Bernard Buie executives with their clients in mind. Bundled packages can not be adjusted for any reason. However, individual services are offered by Bernard Buie and clients can choose services from there as well.

Payment: The total payment billed to the client by Bernard Buie will be determined by the package and/or individual service(s) chosen by the client. All payments must be paid to and received by Bernard Buie 2 weeks prior to the date of the event. MasterCard, Visa, American Express, business checks, cash or money order are the only types of payment accepted by Bernard Buie. No personal checks will be accepted. If payments are not accepted or return by
the bank the client will be financially responsible for their Bernard Buie service bill and the banking fees charged to Bernard Buie.

Security Deposit: 40% of the total services or package requested by the client must be paid in full 1 week after signature(s) are signed on this contract. The security deposit will secure the client’s date with Bernard Buie. If the security deposit is not received 1 week after the contract is signed, the contract and its binding clauses will be terminated. Security deposits are non refundable however, the security deposit does go toward the balance of the client’s bill.

Liability Insurance: The Company holding the event must have liability insurance for the location where the event will be debuted. Shall the event not be held inside a building or the venue is being rented out by the client, the client themselves must have liability insurance for their business. By signing the contract the company is confirming their business and/or the location where the event is being has liability insurance.

Out of State Booking: Bernard Buie does offer their services out of state. Out of state request submitted to Bernard Buie will be accepted with no booking fee if the request is made and received 3 months before the show date. Event request submitted less than 3 months before the show date require a fee of $75 to secure the booking date, if requested date is available. Travel expenses for Bernard Buie are required in addition to the service fees. The amount required for travel expenses will be determined by negotiation between Bernard Buie and the client however, the agreed upon amount must be paid 2 weeks before show date to ensure travel and prompt arrival.

Bernard Buie Appearance: Bernard Buie appearance at the event must be requested by the client 1 month in advance from the show date. His total appearance time varies depending on what package or individual service is chosen by the client. The clients desired arrival time for Bernard Buie must be submitted 3 weeks before the show date. If there is no specific time of
arrival requested by the client Bernard Buie will arrive when his schedule permits. If his appearance time runs over the appearance contracted time additional fees will apply.

Tickets & Promotional Supplies: Tickets and promotional supplies must be provided by the client. Bernard Buie and the street team will sale and promote the event in the surrounding communities where the event is being held. The street team will sale tickets and promote the event in their local community as well. The duration of sales and promotion for the event is determined by the package or individual service chosen by the client. If supplies are delayed Bernard Buie and the street team will sale tickets and promote from the delayed date only. Selling tickets and promoting the event will be conducted 3 times a week until the show date.

Ticket Sale Percentage: The percentage Bernard Buie receives from ticket sells varies. The percentage received must be negotiated prior to the show date. The percentage received for this

Venue: The client must inform Bernard Buie of show location no later then 1 month in advance from show date so proper arrangements can be made for the Bernard Buie team.

Show Cancellation: For any reason the show is cancelled notification must be given to Bernard Buie. The security deposit paid during the booking process is non refundable. Depending on the cancellation time frame payments made to Bernard Buie may not be refundable as well. Cancellations 1 month before show date qualify for a full refund. Cancellations 3 weeks before show date qualify for a 60% refund. Cancellations received 2 weeks before the show date qualify for a 50% refund. Cancellations 1 week before the show date will not qualify for a refund of any amount. All refunds exclude the non refundable security deposit. All cancellations must be submitted in writing via email or delivered mail for record purposes.

Show Date Moved: If the show date booked with Bernard Buie is moved for any reason notification must be given ASAP. When a booked show date is moved there is no guarantee that Bernard Buie will be able to accommodate the changes. Accommodations that can not be made will result in a refund of an undetermined amount (monetary total of refund will be determined by Bernard Buie). If accommodations can be made by Bernard Buie the show will be pushed back successfully and all services will be provided.
