I will provide musical services for any event large or small....(im currently employed with a church fulltime. .im unable to cover events in Sunday mornings) whether you need a live full scale band, a small jazz trio, keys and vocal duo, or just soft piano music...I can provide it. Fluent in various styles of music, but specialize in jazz standards and smooth RnB. I do not sing, but i can provide a vocalist. Just need atmosphere music...im your guy. Weddings, private parties, corporate events....give me a try!

Derrick Hinto receives a rating of zero stars, and if a lower rating is available, I give him the lowest available score.
Derrick Hinton did not show up for the booked event. All efforts to contact him over the course of three days before the event, and on the day of the event were unsuccessful. Derrick Hinton did not respond to emailed communications submitted on your communication portal, and he did not respond to telephone calls or voice mail messages. I cannot accept this level of unprofessionalism and the lack of basic concern. Instead of enjoying a festive affair, I spent the evening apologizing. I'm left to question if Derrick Hinton's professionalism (or lack thereof) is an example of Gig Salad's professionalism. I have used Gig Salad in the past, but based on this extremely disappointing experience, I doubt if I will do so in the future. This is unacceptable!!!!
At the minimum, I expect a full and immediate refund. I await your response.

What to expect
You will get a great party experience! Imagine a 4 to 7 piece band (depends on if you want front line singers or not) dressed for the occasion. Our band will perform your favorite music from our huge list of cover tunes that span decades. Our band is sure to get the party started and keep it going until its time to go home. The entire band is full of highly skilled musicians and singers that absolutely love to do what we do for music and fun sake! The payment is the icing on the cake.....lol
In terms of working relations, we are committed to being early to the event and very sensitive to the wants and needs of the client.
About
Born in the small city of Moss Point, Mississippi, then raised in Tallahassee, FL, I must say that God has been good to me. I began playing music at an early age (5 years old). I started with drums for a gospel quartet group and my local church in Mississippi. When i moved to Florida, my whole life changed and expanded musically. I was introduced to a different world of musicians and musicianship. I worked real hard with my dream at that time being to play for local gospel artist. I fulfilled that dream many times over as of today. I've played behind artist such as Evangelist Beverly Crawford, Evangelist Duranice Pace of the Pace Sisters, Bobby Jones Gospel, Pastor Dewayne Harvey and Unrestrained Praise, as well as many others.
My musical inclination led me to pick up other instruments of which i quickly learned such as Hammond Organ, Keyboards, and Bass guitar. Being 36 years old as of today, i have over 30 years experience as a musician.
I currently play in a corporate band and also other free lance work as i have the time as a keyboardist and musical director.
