Hello, my name is Derek and I’ve been playing the cello for 11 years! Currently working on a masters degree and am looking to perform wherever and whenever I can in the meantime. I love playing solo, especially with the Bach cello suites, but I’ve also played across a variety of genres for occasions such as weddings, dinners, etc. I’ve played in numerous orchestras such as the Salt Lake Symphony and the National Music Festival Orchestra and have attended festivals across the country from Florida to Arizona! Originally started playing at the age of 13 and have loved it ever since. I’ve also recently started to teach and have a couple years experience under my belt. If you’re looking for the nice and lovely sound of solo cello for your event then look no further!
If the event is outdoors, I require that the space set aside for me be in the shade as direct sunlight can be damaging to the instrument
