What to expect

The band arrives promtly for the show. Setup is quick and discreet. We will meet the booker and make sure we have all necessary information, such as stage announcements, introductions, birthdays to recognize and other personal details.

Depending on the venue and audience we will play softer music to start the show then gradually move up the scale to more lively and danceable music.

We play classic blues from the 1920's onward. Our strongest focus is the rich period of 50's, 60's unforgettable blues songs. We will occassionally choose some approriate songs from our record 'Single of the Month' if warranted.

At the conclusion the band will pack promptly and leave the venue and stage as we found it.

About

"Our feet are on the beach but our hearts are in Mississippi"

The band has long revered the blues and it's history. Band leader Doc Ventura has been a blues traveller who has combed the Mississippi backroads for authenic blues for the last 20 years.

This experience and the guidance of numerious bluesmen has led to Delta by the Beach. This band sets out to prove that the blues are portable.

Formed in 2020, Delta by the Beach has released an album to critical aclaim and nearly half a million Spotify streams. The band primarily plays Southern California dates, but they also do a yearly tour playing authentic blues joints just to 'keep it real'.

The band has played over 500 shows since forming. These range from intimate spaces such as bars, wine rooms and breweries to large stages such as Kern River Rock and Blues Festival, Mississippi Juke Joint Festival, Rodeo Days Festival.

Additional booking notes

We are very flexible. We have played very large stages and also small bandstands that are 10'x10'!

We can certainly adapt to the room or your preference.
