Debby Gullery - Motivational Speaker & Storyteller

As a storyteller, I invite my audiences to travel with me to places foreign and familiar. Drawing on the rich, oral tradition of storytelling from many cultures, I help children of all ages to see themselves in the characters of the stories I tell and I ignite their imaginations!
Incorporating movement and song, my storytelling is interactive and educational, as well as lots of fun, and I can tweak my tales and my style to meet the needs of any size event with any age children.
As a motivational speaker, I utilized my storytelling skills to teach and inspire my audiences. I want everyone in the room to feel connected and inspired, and I use humor, visuals, and interactive exercises to keep people engaged. I remind people of what they have in common, encourage growth and courage, and offer practical strategies and skills for change, whether they are parents, teenagers, couples, or professionals

I have been teaching workshops and seminars on improving relationship skills within the family for twenty-five years, both locally and internationally. I am a marriage educator and relationship coach and have worked with adolescents, young adults, families and couples in every stage of life.

I have been a keynote speaker at many events of all sizes, presenting at conferences, gap programs, luncheons, schools and houses of worship around the country. I recently spoke at a ladies luncheon at the Hilton Downtown sponsored by the Stonemasons of Indiana.

I have performed as an MC for many large non-profit organizations, that featured notable entertainers and politicians such as Phylicia Rashad, Naomi Judd, and the former Prime Minister of Canada, the Honorable Brian Mulroney. My favorite event was an international event in Israel which brought together women from many different backgrounds, including Palestinians and Israelis, to forge new partnerships for building peace.

I am also the author of a book on marriage entitled, "Small Steps to Bigger Love".

Storytellers require very little! A chair, sometimes a microphone if it is a large crowd or outside, and a willing audience! I bring my own props and/or materials.
