Teaching people resilience skills from real life experiences, not theory. Teaching the skills to rise up after being knocked down. I learned this after losing 95% of the right hemisphere of my brain to a massive stroke just three weeks after moving into my home in 2009. Since then I have earned a BA in communications, written and published a book, and then did a TEDx talk. Many give up after something so devastating, but I teach that we don’t have to give up. It’s simply a choice to move forward and carry on and be your best after something so devastating.
