We are a family friendly, professional unit that loves performing. We are Uniform, interactive, courteous and talented. Our appearance is as classy as our sound and show. We love audience involvement and pride ourselves on being easy to work with. For weddings, we offer Emcee services as well as music during breaks. We are happy to learn music for 1st dances and love the challenge of the unique idea! Our setup and sound checks are completed hours before the patrons arrive to a classy dimly lit stage. We love catering to varying demographics for persons of all ages. We are often in the audience and on the dance floor with the guests, encouraging involvement for all without being overbearing. For Corporate events we understand the need to represent the company professionally to meet its goals. We also realize the need to adequate volume levels coinciding with the event schedule and the needs of the client. And finally, we have one great show with very talented musicians!

King David and The David Whiteman band is one of the most versatile and entertaining dance/party bands in America. Led by vocalist/guitarist David Whiteman, this 14-piece band cuts no corners entertaining, combining the finest available mix of musicianship, vocals, sound and lighting. Covering the widest range of songs around, featuring Current Top 40, R&B, Funk, Hip Hop, Rock and Dance variety music, and many of your favorite classics. The band features the finest male and female vocals available, an electric horn section, and a very experienced rhythm section of Bass, drums and keyboards that keeps you on the dance floor.
Our passion behind our performance is what sets us apart. Its evident when you experience the band live. Whether the audience is 100 people, 1000 people or 10,000 people, our approach is the same. It’s never just another gig! It’s about the joy of performing, delivering outstanding music as a team, and most of all, entertaining the public!

David Whiteman has been a Dallas Firefighter since 1989. Out of the love and passion for music, he formed The King David band in 2001, performing at the hottest venues in Dallas/Fort Worth well as countless wedding receptions, conventions, festivals, holiday parties, mitzvahs and corporate events all across the U.S. With every performance, the band gives nothing less than everything they have taking every event to the highest possible level. Our motto: Never let being good get in the way of being GREAT!

For most events, we provide our own sound and lighting. We require a stage size of 24' x 16' (W x D) and for power we need 8 separate circuits at 20 amps each (exclusive to the band). We are flexible for smaller sized rooms for stage and power. For major concerts and festivals with 10K people or more, we have a "rider" available for sound and lighting companies.
