I provide piano performances for wedding ceremonies, receptions, and ambient/background for private parties and corporate functions. Performances may range from solo to jazz quintet with vocalist. With 35 years experience as a working musician, top flight references, and performing and recording experience with internationally known artists such as Jimmy LaFave, Pierce Pettis, John Inmon, and local solo performances at Austin venues such as Chez Zee, Sullivan's and Perry's, I have the talent, knowledge, equipment, and flexibility to help make your event a memorable one.
David performed at a Rehearsal Dinner for my son and his fiancé at Green Pastures in Austin, TX on Friday, November 27th. He is a talented pianist and everyone enjoyed his beautiful music throughout the evening which added to the ambience of the event and venue. From the time we selected David as our pianist, his correspondence was prompt as we exchanged information about our needs. He arrived early at the event and played until the conclusion. My husband and I really enjoyed working with him on this important event for my son and his fiancé. I would highly recommend David Webb based on our recent experience.
Hire him! He was fantastic!!
Talented pianist and performed great at my wedding. On less thing I had to worry about.
David did an amazing job! He played at the right volume and the music was beautiful and upbeat!
David played for a small party for my mother's surprise 60th birthday party. He is a talented pianist and I was very thankful he agreed to come our venue located right outside of San Antonio all the way from Austin. He arrived a little early to set up and was ready when she arrived for the surprise. Our group was small but he did a great job of not over powering the room with his beautiful music which everyone enjoyed. added to the ambience of the event and venue. He was very courteous and profesional. I would highly recommend David Webb.
We hired David to play for our church's Christmas party. We then had him add Pat Harris on bass and Brad Evilsizer on drums. Their trio was phenomenal! They arrived earlier enough for set up and sound check. They began playing on time. The volume was not overbearing and conversations could be heard at the tables. But most importantly the music was nothing short of fantastic. David, Pat and Brad played a great variety of Christmas favorites, both slow and uptempo. I received several compliments throughout the night as to how good they were. But I think the real proof came when more than a few couples got out on the floor and danced throughout the evening. David and the guys received thunderous applause at the end of the night. I highly recommend them for your next special event!
Response from David Webb:
Thanks so much, Ken ,for you and your staff's gracious hospitality and your kind review. We are so glad that your guests enjoyed the music and we love it when folks dance- lets do this again!
David was an amazing addition to our Casablanca Party! He communicated very well with me regarding all the details for the event. He played music I specifically requested plus an entire selection from the party theme. His music allowed both dancers and conversationalists to enjoy their evening. I will gladly hire David again knowing his talent will elevate any event I host. Thank you again, David, you made the evening so very special!
David was so great to work with- he was professional, talented, and quick to respond to any questions that we had. He actually played alongside my aunt, a classically trained singer, had nothing but good things to say about David. She has sung for many, many weddings and said David was one of the best musicians she has ever worked with. We were so happy to have found David on GigSalad, his talent was a perfect accompaniment to our wedding. Thanks David!
David was on time, dressed well and played during our breakfast before our Awards Presentation began. He played some good easy listening along with some happy jazzier tunes. Everyone enjoyed it! Thanks again David! If we need him again next year, we'll use him again.
David was not only professional but the music selection for our event was perfect. We had nothing but rave reviews and I would defiantly recommend him for anyone needing soft romantic music he truley was part of making are event a huge hit.
David has played for our Christmas party the last two years and is just an incredible piano player and a great entertainer. His music adds so much to a party and he is very enjoyable to work with. I hope we can continue to have him play for years to come!
David is such a talented, accomplished and flexible pianist that he brought that "something extra" to a cocktail party I recently hosted. His selection of songs was woven through the evening being showcased or background in a perfect flow.
He was delightful to work with. Quick to respond to questions during the planning phase, provided additional help with the sound system and helped with accommodation as needed. I could not have asked for a better or more talented
Mr. David Webb did an amazing job at my wedding. His jazz selections were upbeat & set the tone perfectly for a wonderful evening. I appreciate his professionalism & warm personality. Thanks to Mr. David Webb for helping to make my wedding reception extra special. I am forever grateful.
David made my 29th birthday for the 21st time, birthday party a complete hit. He was totally awesome to work with - Very professional and played beautifully. He arrived when promised and played to our 1920s theme with perfection. Even taking unplanned requests! Would recommend David to anyone asking and will book him again in the future.
Response from David Webb:
Thanks so much for the kind review, Stephanie! You and your guests were an absolute joy to perform for and your kindness and hospitality are much appreciated. Happy Birthday!!
I used David's services for my wedding on October 27th, 2012. He did an absolutely fantastic job. Everything sounded great and he transitioned through the songs beautifully. He was very easy to get in contact with and was very accommodating as far as what he could play and what he was willing to learn to play. As a bride, you don't want to have to worry about all the miniscule details and with David, I didn't have to. He made a ceremony music lineup for me and put my mind at ease with his promptness. He is very talented, has a lot of experience and does GREAT work! I would absolutely recommend using Mr. Webb as a pianist at your event.
David and his jazz band, including a drummer and a bassist, performed at the grand opening of a new Starbucks at USAA. Before the apperance, he was in constant communication with me to insure he had all the information he needed and would be prepared. Since we are in a corporate environment, one of our biggest concerns was people would complain about noise. David assured me that they could adjust the volume if need be. After about 20 mins of them playing, I got a phone call (expecting it to be someone asking us to keep in down...) Instead it was an employee who wanted David's contact info so they could book them for another gig!! Between the fair price, the great feedback we got, and how easy it was to work with David and his friends, we would certainly recomend this musician to others!!
Mr. Webb played beautifully for our party. He was prompt and friendly, and we were so glad we hired him.
We hired David Webb to provide holiday background music at our office building tenant holiday luncheon. The music not only sounded great, but our tenants loved the added feature while enjoying their lunch. David is a very talented musician. He was professional, arrived on time, and was self-sufficient in setting up his equipment for the gig. I would highly recommend using David for your next event. We definately will.

What to Expect
My task is to provide a pleasant and aesthetically pleasing experience. Often, my job is to simply be ambient/background music for parties or gatherings. I play a wide repertoire of styles and my goal is to make the audience aware that I am present and offering a little something extra while at the same time allowing for conversation. I enjoy spontaneity, take requests and will have as much or as little interaction as audience members desire and have turned piano bar gigs into full blown weekly concert series by playing my heart out and interacting with audience members.
For wedding ceremonies, I meet with clients and determine their desires. I've had brides march down the aisle to a tango or Edith Piaf chanson and had couples exiting to Vince Guaraldi's "Linus and Lucy", as well as an all Duke Ellington ceremony. I encourage couples to be creative in their choice of ceremony music, as it is their very special day and I want the music to be a memorable part of it. I have a wide range of potential ceremony repertoire and gladly entertain all suggestions.
