Before your date, we’ll discuss your musical preferences, choose songs for key moments, and confirm timing and setup details. For weddings, I coordinate ceremony cues with your planner or officiant so each entrance feels natural. Custom song requests are welcome with advance notice.

On the day, I arrive with time to set up and check sound before the music begins. I provide my own performance equipment, including professional amplification and backing tracks when appropriate.

The music follows the mood of your celebration: romantic and intimate for your ceremony, relaxed and inviting as guests mingle, or upbeat for cocktail hour. Volume is kept appropriate for the space so guests can enjoy both the music and conversation.

I’m David Price, an Austin-based violinist bringing expressive live music to weddings, cocktail hours, and special events. With more than 30 years of violin experience and a bachelor’s degree in Violin Performance and Music Education, I combine classical training with a love of modern songs.

My repertoire spans romantic favorites like “Perfect,” “Turning Page,” and “Golden Hour,” recognizable pop songs, and timeless classical selections. Performing with professional backing tracks allows me to create a rich, full sound - from an intimate walk down the aisle to an upbeat cocktail hour.
