Overview
I have held one of the rarest of certifications in the IT industry, Certified Ethical Hacker, since 2009. I also hold the MCSE 2012 Server, VMware Certified Data Center Associate, the Sonicwall CSSA, a Ruckus Wireless cert and have held other certifications I've let expire (CCNA, A and others). The role I have taken on is not to come in and sell you a specific brand or service, but to educate you on why your IT strategy may still be lacking. I'll also deliver some examples of how hackers would hit a company like yours, even if you think "I don't have anything of value on my computer". Those types of attitudes are a dream for hackers to uncover.

April 7, 2016Contracted for Event - Nothing Delivered
We contracted with Mr. Howard to be the sponsor of a security event to be held in the Cincinnati area. The evening before the event we received an email stating that he was in an accident and was unable to perform the security event. We offered to "fill in" for him so that his other attendee's/sponsor's wouldn't be left out but got no response. We contacted Mr. Howard a while after the event to request a refund to which we received a response that he was surprise we hadn't received it with a promise to follow up. That was on January 8, 2016 and to date he has not responded to our repeated attempts to make contact in regards to the sponsorship fee.
I would not recommend utilizing the services of Mr. Howard. We've had no opportunity to even verify his expertise in the security realm due to the cancellation of the event but can attest that his professionalism, communication, and the ethics he boasts so much about are not very strong in the business arena.

Our company had a huge security breach where data was out in the open. Dave was able to guide us back to a more secure posture and helped us in the reporting of the breach to appropriate authorities and compliance agencies.

Influences and inspiration
2013 started off as the year of the hack, but 2014 has certainly emerged as the year that hacking became mainstream and touched almost everyone in some manner. My mission is to educate as many as possible on how not to become a victim of these attacks.
