Overview

Primarily a acoustic/electric guitarist /singer / one man band performance with top tier vocals. My shows consists of a combination acoustic only favorits with just guitar and vocals to full band sounds with harmony. On the full band sounds I use professionally recorded custom backing tracks. I am basically adding drums, bass and keyboards as needed. Some purists frown at this practice and yes I would rather play with other musicians for the synergy. However, with venues, stages, and budgets getting smaller this is a great alternative. Club owners appreciate the small footprint of my setup and the quality of the sound not to mention the cost effectiveness.

Thanks so much for taking the time out to give me a review Jammie! I really enjoyed your company event. The atmosphere of employees, their kids, and even the dogs shows how much you value your employees. Everyone was very friendly and helpful and I am sure that carries over to your work ethics. I got a chance to check out your concrete display at the front of your building. Wow!! Shamrock Concrete Rocks! Literally....

This guy is awesome!!!!

I hired him for a celebration house party. Everyone remarked on how good he was and loved the music he played. The vibe was great, the people were very enthusiastic. He had them involved totally, singing along and dancing. I would definitely recommend him for your next event. I know I will call on him again for the next one without a second thought!!

What to expect

Great sing along music with great melodies and harmonies. Good acoustic playing such as fingerpicking on 6 and 12 string along with tasty lead guitar on my American made Stratocaster with the clean fender amp.
I love interacting with audience and getting them involved. Requests are always welcomed. I am very approachable. During breaks I will go out and introduce myself and thank them for coming. If I feel the audience is really involved I will forgo a break and keep playing. I follow the lead of the audience. I understand you will not please all but I do my best and feel my show is a cut above both musically and sonically.
Normally, If over a 2 hour performance I will play 45 minute sets with a 15 minute break. Not set in stone. I often will go past my scheduled times if the audience is active. I love to play and sing and my passion shows through to the audience. My sets and song lists are very thought out and rehearsed. I practice daily to improve my craft. I take the audience on a musical journey to the past to relive memories and feelings of their high school and college days.
I am best suited for early afternoon like 1-5 or early evening 6-10. I am prepared for inside or outside venues.

About

I have been singing and playing guitar since I was 10 years old. Played in my first band at 12. Until the age of 30 I played in various bands through out the Midwest. Playing weddings, high schools, clubs and corporate events. After starting a family I stop playing out and played lead guitar at church for years and still do. Also, I focused on writing and recording original music for myself and others. I studied music theory and guitar at SIUE.
With the kids in their teens now I have decided to play out again as a solo act. Over the years I have created professional custom backing tracks to enhance my sound. I use top of the line equipment for the best possible sound. The Bose L1 (stick/tower) with Tone Match mixer give a superior quality and coverage. The advantage of this system is the sound dispersement. The music travels at 180 degrees from the speakers as apposed to normal speakers at 90 degrees. Gives a more even sound throughout the room. Listeners will hear the same volume at the back of the room as the listeners near the stage. This means I don't have to play as loud causing ear fatigue allowing customers and workers to have a conversation which means they will stay longer and spend more!
My style of music is perfect for wineries, bar and grills, corporate events and private parties inside or outside.
I bring everything I need. Carpet for the stage, black back drop (looks professional), lighting, and a canopy if outside. I am very professional and easy going. Will arrive at the minimum of 1 hour prior to start time. Very accommodating to customers and patrons.
I can do just an acoustic performance, full band experience, or combination of both. I also provide music during breaks. When doing a show 2 hours or less I will not take a break.
I have recently been ask to do a Tribute to the Eagles show so if that is in interest I have put together a 2 hour show.
I have over 200 songs in my repertoire so when playing a venue multiple times I will not need to repeat the same songs.
I play a lot of singer song writer type of music from the 70's and 80's. Beatles, Eagles, CSNY, Neil Young, America, Bob Seger, Eric Clapton, Supertramp, Allman Brothers, Marshall Tucker, CCR, Rod Stewart, Little River Band, Van Morrison, Elton John and many more. I can also throw in some original tunes if you would like. If there are special songs needed just let me know and I will get them.

Additional booking notes

I provide quality pa. Bose L1 with a double bass cabinet and a tone match mixer. I usually bring three guitars. An Ovation 6 String acoustic, a 12 string Alverez acoustic and a American made Startocaster 6 string electric. My electric guitar plugs in a effects pedal chain to produce all the sounds necessary for this era of music and then into a Fender Hot Rod Deville Jr. Amp the standard set up for professional guitarists.
I also use a Digitech Vocal harmonizer that produces harmonies of my voice. This is the latest and most professional model made and sound very natural. No chipmunk sounds..
I also provide my own lighting and canopy if outdoors and at night. I can use a black backdrop for a very professional look.
