I'm a professional singer/guitarist in Wilmington, NC. I am a Berklee College of Music alumnus, and I also studied music at East Carolina University in Greenville, NC. I perform pop, blues, soul, Motown, reggae & country music, originals and covers. My covers range from Stevie Wonder & Bill Withers to the Beatles, Chris Stapleton, Justin Timberlake, Bob Marley & more.
Song selection is tailored to each booking, and I also provide recorded music played through my PA during breaks so there is never a break in the music. I perform solo acoustic with live looping, creating a fuller sound than a traditional solo act.
I've performed at hundreds of weddings, corporate events, and private parties.

April 18, 2022David performed at a party I hosted for my real estate clients. I gave him a brief description of the vibe I wanted; easy, mellow, family friendly and he nailed it. His talent brought the party to the next level and I plan on hiring him for every event. David Dixon is a singer, songwriter & guitarist. He recently opened for acclaimed singer-songwriter Phillip Phillips (American Idol Winner Season 11) at Greenfield Lake Amphitheater to a sold-out crowd. With a recent EP release ("The Game") & a full (self-titled) album release under his belt & an array of Youtube videos, Wilmington, NC-based songwriter, David Dixon continues to gain momentum all over the South East.
Dixon studied guitar performance & songwriting at the acclaimed Berklee College of Music in Boston. He performs solo by creating live looped/stacked parts in real time, which creates a sound so big you'd think it was 2-3 people. Dixon's styles consist of pop, blues, rock, soul & more. Think John Mayer, Ed Sheehan & Shawn Mendes. Dixon has performed for the US Military in South Korea, and has also performed in the Dominican Republic, the Bahamas, & all over the United States.
