Overview

I have been hosting and speaking at fundraisers, comedy shows, corporate events, academic gatherings and Moth Story Slams across the world for the last 5 years. My hosting style is a mix of structured, funny storytelling and improvisational crowd-work that makes every audience member feel involved and engaged. I've appeared at intimate events in living rooms and at venues holding over 2000 people, including Brooklyn Music Academy & Sydney Opera House.

What to expect

As an emcee, I utilize stand-up to engage and entertain an audience. Although much of this is pulled from pre-existing sets, I make it a point to keep references and jokes specific to the crowd at hand.

As a speaker, storyteller or officiant, I also utilize humor in my performance, but focus a bit more on the meaning and message behind what I'm saying. Although laughter is important, I think touching peoples' hearts and minds is key when talking about serious issues like animal rescue, discrimination or health issues.

People have told me that what they like about my hosting & comedy is that it feels like I'm only talking to them. This is important to me, and I try to think of every audience, regardless of size, as a small group of dear friends.
