Often dubbed "Cat Stevens meets Adam Levine," David is a pop/rock singer/songwriter/guitarist from the Baltimore-Washington metropolitan area who has shared the stage with/opened for an eclectic mix of acts both solo and with his full band, including Maroon 5, Toby Keith, Owl City, Journey and Eric Hutchinson, to name a few. He has also been a featured act for the Washington Redskins, Washington Nationals and the Citi Open (formerly the Legg Mason Tennis Classic). With a repertoire of over 500 songs when playing solo, including acoustic top 40 from the '60s to now, as well as original material in the singer-songwriter realm, he performs with any format from solo to a 4-piece rock band.
David arrive at the event soaking wet because of the weather, he still set up fast to be starting ASAP.
Very professional and friendly, he is also an excellent musician!
Thank you again David and see you at our next event!
Dave was a big hit at our condo's cocktail event. Everyone enjoyed his music, both covers and originals. He was on-time and very professional throughout the event and we'd love to have him back.
David was a pleasure to work with. He is an extremely talented artist, great to have at any event.
I booked David to perform while I proposed to my girlfriend. It took a fair amount of coordination between him and the photographer I booked and David came through with flying colors. He was battling a sinus infection, but still managed to perform brilliantly. Highly recommend his services; very professional and talented musician for a great price.
He was a life saver. Was a last minute gig for him but he cane 150% through. Learned three new songs in hours for my planned surprise for my husband. He was just the best surprise not only for my husband but for me. Was a great pleasure to meet David and see him perform by himself and with my husband. Will be booking him again. A must hire for any event.
David is a great artist to have at your party! I hired him for my corporate event, and he kept the party going with fun music all night long! He made the atmosphere of the party more lively and happy. He was also very professional, and very easy to work with!
David was perfect for our house party. Very flexible and even played longer than originally scheduled. Great catalog of music and good with song requests. I would definitely recommend David and would have him play again. Thanks.
David was professional, happy, showed emotion for us on our wedding day, and even changed up the set list last minute as we ran out of time. A total pro! Thank you David!
We had a crab feast for around seventy people. David was outstanding. He paid close attention making sure that he did not disturb the conversations going on and yet loud enough to be heard. Everyone loved the music which seemed to fit listeners who come from all different walks of life with many different tastes in music. He was a big hit at our party.
David performed at our four-year-old's birthday party and we could not have been happier with his performance. Not only was he a polished professional with smooth vocals, but he was also so pleasant and accommodating throughout the entire process.
He provided us a song list in advance that gave us hundreds of songs to choose from, and he gave us the option to select songs in advance or collect on-the-spot requests at the party. Because his performance was sort of a gift to our son in itself, we helped select the song list in advance, and chose our son's favorites. Even though our son enjoys a number of classic rock hits, we wanted to also cater to the greater audience and David suggested a handful of kids songs he could weave into the set. He even learned Wheels on the Bus at our son's request. He also learned Get Off of My Cloud at my son's request (and yes, we realize this is your atypical request combo).
David could not have been a more perfect fit for the party. David confessed to being new to this age group, but he was a natural and the kids adored the live concert he played. And, because he wasn't your typical kiddie performer, he was far more tolerable to the adult guests (particularly our au pair who instantly developed a crush when he started his first song).
We only have great things to say about David and would hire him again in an heartbeat. We had a number of guests also asking about him, so it looks like we'll be fighting our friends for his service in the future! If you're looking for a seasoned performer who has a spectacular singer-songwriter-style voice, expansive experience on the guitar, and is just a nice all-around guy, you will not disappointed by reaching out to David.
What to Expect
This really depends on what's needed at each particular venue/event. David always makes an effort to try and fit with the flow/feel wherever he's playing. Some performances, like many wedding ceremonies and cocktail hours he's performed, require a more intimate, laid back type of performance, sometimes as background music. Others, like bars and clubs, tend to need something more driving, upbeat, and "up front," so people can dance. He can provide both of these, or something in between even, depending on the circumstances and what's desired.
After studying music composition and performance at Salisbury University, David migrated from the small-town atmosphere of his youth on the Eastern Shore of Maryland to the Baltimore-Washington metropolitan area, where he has since been playing music for a living. He now performs regularly along the mid-Atlantic region of the US, occasionally touring in other parts of the country as well. In the process, he has developed a strong fan base and attracted attention from many well-known names in the music industry and beyond, from Performing Songwriter magazine to Dean Dinning of Toad the Wet Sprocket to Ben Stein.
With his addictive melodies, a soulful vocal style and an off-the-beaten-path kind of pop-sensibility, David is steadily becoming a well-known performer on the East Coast. He has shared the stage with/opened for an eclectic mix of acts both solo and with his full band, including Maroon 5, Toby Keith, Owl City, Journey, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Bad Company, Night Ranger, My Chemical Romance, The Used, Thrice, Story of the Year, The Bouncing Souls, Eric Hutchinson, Graham Colton and Virginia Coalition. He has also been a featured act for the Washington Redskins, Washington Nationals and the Citi Open (formerly the Legg Mason Tennis Classic).
Additional Booking Notes
David is able to provide all the production (lights, staging, sound, etc), but if some or all of that is provided, that works as well. The specifics would depend on whether he's being hired as a solo performer or with the duo, trio, or 4-piece band. He's pretty flexible and easy to work with in this area, and this can be discussed depending on the scenario. Feel free to inquire about more specifics, though, if needed.

Influences & Inspiration
When playing covers with the band, one could say they add a slight '90s tinge to everything. Where original music is concerned, some of David's biggest influences are Radiohead, Smashing Pumpkins, The Beatles, Nirvana, Tool, Incubus and many other '90s groups.
Access to power
Preferably a tent/cover of some sort for outdoor performances
