Not overpowering - provides a nice backdrop for a dinner party or a small get-together of 50-80 people, or light entertainment for a winery. Repertoire may be selected from a range of jazz/pop songs in English only or Portuguese only (MPB). Dance music only or romantic music only. I prefer to read the room and mix in whatever tunes will continue to provide the proper energy level for the party.
Soulful and heartfelt interpretations of the great classic songs of American and Brazilian jazz. An eternal student of harmony, melody and lyric writing, I began life as a percussionist / drummer in Tokyo Japan, enamored with jazz standards, studied composition, orchestration, improvisation and performance at Berklee Boston. Fell in love with Brazilian music - the perfect combination of African rhythms, European harmony, indigenous melodies and Portuguese poetry - all of which together allows for intricate expression. After several years in Bahia Brazil, moved to Silicon Valley California where the Bossa Blue Ensemble was formed with voice, guitar, cavaquinho, tam-tam, pandeiro, surdo and miscellaneous percussion instruments. Today, new compositions and lyrics, some English, some Portuguese, are the more valuable use of my time.

All musical equipment and transportation are provided by the band. For larger stages, a PA system would be needed at the expense of the venue. PA system integration via Bluetooth wireless sync.
