I sing more than 310 songs (and counting) from memory. I don’t scroll lyrics on an IPad or sit on a stool. I never sit down unless it’s a bit in my show. I sing oldies, classic & contemporary country, classic & alternative rock, pop, funk & dance tunes. 95% or more of songs I commit to memory are/were number 1 hit songs by the artists. I have learned that a lot of people who don’t care much for certain genres will like a number one hit song no matter the genre. I carry a spare microphone and involve the audience and encourage them to sing the chorus with me. No one is safe from the roving microphone! :)
