Dave and Scott

Dave and Scott are a Northwest Acoustic Duo centred in Acoustic folk non-traditional but with a contemporary edge Dave and Scott's music is really dynamic with a unity of playing rarely seen on the live music scene. Dave and Scott deliver modern, punchy songs and carefully arranged songs from days past. Each live set of music is filled with a wide range of music from emotional slow ballads to songs that get you out of your chair and force you to dance. It’s the mixture of raw energy, prodigious musical ability and clever, fresh arrangements that make Dave and Scott something different.

Dave and Scott have both been playing music for over 20 years in various bands around the country.

Dave was a child prodigy who took up the guitar at an early age and quickly destroyed because in his words "If you love something you must destroy it". He then inherited a new guitar in his early teen years and began writing music with lyrics that were inspirational to some and utterly devastating to others. Dave played in many different bands in the Northwest before moving to the Heartland to write and record music with several different local artists. He eventually moved back to Pacific Northwest where he lives today.

Scott was born and educated in the Pacific Northwest at the finest public schools your tax dollars could possibly provide. Largely self taught Scott developed his playing style in local sessions with various musicians playing multiple styles not including zydeco, light opera and ancient mayan diddies. He also is a mystery even to himself at times.
As well as bass guitar Scott also plays the double bass and the guitar.

Dave and Scott will ensure your special occasion is unforgettable. You can sit and listen or dance to the night away. You will still be able to visit and chat with your guests as the volume level is easily controllable. If you want professional and fun this is the band for you.

**Things to keep in mind when hiring the band: You are hiring someone to stand on stage and sing/play plus: equipment and instruments, hours of rehearsal time and space, transportation to and from the gig, hours of lessons that was spent on learning and perfecting their talent and craft, outfits, promotion, website fees, taxes, phone and internet bills organizing the event, manager/agent fees. The payment also has to cover food, a roof over the musicians heads, bills, car expense, and every other living expense.
