Darwin Cris Studio Photography

It was a great pleasure having to work with Darwin! I had booked Darwin two months in advance, Darwin was prompt with his responses and communicated well throughout the process. My husband and I booked Darwin for an outdoor garden photoshoot at another location from our reception venue. He arrived on time he had given good directions on how to pose for our pictures. He was also very receptive when either of us had our own ideas to pitch in. Our second location was our wedding reception which was located at my house. Darwin met with all my family members and guests he was respectful and they all loved him! Overall pictures were great, angles, direction lighting was excellent. My venue was a DIY outdoor backyard wedding, Darwin had more lighting with him and recommended to use his lights. I agreed immediately and appreciated his input. I am deducting one star because some pictures could have been more zoomed in they look a little awkward with my white backdrop with just a little bit more editing it would've been nicer. I am still a proud customer and very grateful for Darwin to have captured many beautiful moments on my special day. I would highly recommend Darwin for any other events in the future.

Darwin did a great job planning for our event and had excellent communication and out reach. Our photographer Sarah was excellent! She made us feel very comfortable as she took hundreds of photos.

We hired Darwin Photography (Castillano) to capture our wedding brunch the day after our wedding, and unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience from start to finish.

From the beginning, communication was inconsistent, and on the day of the event, Castillano showed up unprepared. He had previously promised to bring a drone for aerial shots, but claimed his partner had taken it to another event—something we weren’t informed of until that morning. During the brunch, he offered little direction and missed many meaningful moments. A surprising number of photos were taken from awkward angles, including many of our backs, and there was minimal effort to engage with us or our guests.

When we finally received the gallery, it included over 900 unedited images—many of which were duplicates—with no curation or clean-up. Delays in delivery were met with excuses rather than transparency, and overall, the experience felt unprofessional and impersonal.

I had briefly considered hiring Darwin Photography for our actual wedding day, and I am incredibly relieved I did not. This was not the level of service or quality we expected, especially for such a special occasion.

Darwin was a pleasure to work with and did a fantastic job at our event! He was very easy to work both before and during the event. Darwin offered both photography and videography for the event - covering all the important moments even as a one man crew. The quality of the photography was very good (our guests are thrilled with their photos!). He did an awesome job capturing both the staged photos with our backdrop as well as candids from the party. He also promptly delivered the full photo album after the event which was very much appreciated. We can't wait to see how the videos turned out, but I am certain it will be great!

Darwin was excellent. He captured many great photos of our event. The lighting, the focus, the shots and the communication were all great!
I am very happy that we found Darwin here. We are hoping that Darwin will be able to photograph our next events as well!

P.S. I haven't seen his videos yet but I am looking forward to them.
