Overview

Resiliency

This has become my life's story...from a recent divorce to surviving a head on collision with a wrong way drunk driver, my life has been about getting back up after getting knocked down. I guess you could say I have been fortunate enough to have been given many opportunities to learn and grow throughout my life.

My goal with my talk is to tailor it to the audience and have as many actionable take-aways to offer the group. Whether it be a college/university audience, the corporate world or competitive/athletics, my experiences will be relatable. With a little insider knowledge as to whom I am speaking to, my stories will resonate and educate to a wide range of audiences.

What to expect

I pride myself on customized talks, not the same canned presentation that I have done elsewhere. Each event and audience is different and I treat them as such. Topics like Resiliency and Leadership are broad enough to tailor each talk to the respective audience, allowing them to draw the actionable takeaways that will impact them outside just the day of the talk. So whether your audience is a younger workforce that is struggling with the adjustment to the corporate life, your management team facing work and life struggles that need to be overcome, or a general message of overcoming obstacles that most need a reminder of once in a while, I am the man for the job.

I draw from a variety of life experiences, including surviving a head-on collision with a wrong way drunk driver, a Top 20 Professional Racquetball Player and an award-winning Coach. In my day job I am the Vice President of Sales for TriageNow, a telephonic nurse triage company. I sell this service nationwide and spend my time presenting to decision teams for Fortune 500 companies and growing the business through all facets of sales and account management. Thirteen years in this role has helped me immensely in assisting others prepare for and navigate the corporate world. As I get to know my corporate clients I draw from their experiences to round out my message to my speaking clients.

About

I have learned a lot about what it takes to excel. I didn't have an easy path, and because of these struggles I have learned a lot about resiliency. Some life resume highlights include:

--wrestling injury derailed my college scholarship aspirations but led to me becoming a Pro Racquetball Player
--Spent three years in the Top 20 in the World on the International Racquetball Tour
--retired after extreme burnout
--returned to coaching at Arizona State University
--in a 15-year run led team to Women's Natl Championship, three dozen Collegiate All-Americans, 15 years of top 10 team
finishes and was Two Time Collegiate Coach of the Year recipient
--Survived head on collision with wrong-way drunk driver
--Became Victim Impact Panel speaker for MADD, started my speaking career there!
--Booked speaking gigs locally and around US, adding more all the time
--Divorced after 12 years, rebounded quickly with deep therapy work and introspection

I learned a lot of things through trials and tribulations, and in some ways, this is the best way to grow. I wouldn't wish my life's path on anyone, as many wouldn't make it by following in my footsteps. But I have been able to recognize tough times make strong men, and I know that as hard as things are during, the "after" version of me will be a better for it.

I look forward to teaching your audience how to prevail through tough times and come out the other side better off. I love providing a memorable experience and providing actionable takeaways for your audience!
